Most alt right money comes from government handouts, so indirectly, I(a taxpayer) am paying for trump's golden toilet brushes. That is sad.

I don't "share the same ideologies." I generally cringe around the TEAParty sort, but the Progressive Left just leaves me stunned that anyone could willfully be that stupid. Progressives are beyond stupid.

This site was besieged with rightys talking about the fabulous site that was going to dominate media. It is what they said about Durham, what they said about Kraken. What they said about when the real truth in the election comes out. And it drones on to right wing oblivion. It is not even interesting for a few seconds anymore.

They're liberals. It's the balance that matters. Preferably between two sane groups instead of two insane ones.

When the Democrats can legitimately argue they are the sane ones in the room, then America is in trouble.

The Insurrectionists and the massive fraud perpetrated by the Trump administration is being downplayed by the Republican Party. Ronald Reagan must be rolling in his grave.

I voted for Reagan twice. Today's RepubliQan party is nothing like the Reagan days. Ronnie would be shocked.
 
In my discussion last week with AProudLefty he said a number of progressives would/might leave Twitter if Musk took over and allowed more free speech (and stopped the deplatforming of people like Trump).

I can imagine there might be some who do. Would any left-leaning person here leave? If yes, is there a particular site that exists today that you would go to? People have given up social media before so its not like it can't be done. But social media is also addictive and its easier said than done to give it up.

How could AProudLefty possibly know that? He probably knows 40-50 fellow progressives at the most. Pretty small sample size to draw any conclusion, don't you think?

Personally, I hope Musk doesn't buy Twitter because I don't want to see Trump tweeting. He incited the Jan 6th riot. His Twitter ban was justified.
And anyway, he's got his own social media site Troof Social. He doesn't need Twitter.

Well, it's an incorrect assertion. I'm no fan of Trump, but I have a much bigger axe to grind against Progressives and the Left. I truly despise their politics.
