Trump was impeached of course. However, neither impeachment nor indictment are within the authority of the panel, nor was the the evidence now known available earlier, as any serious person is aware. What Cheney is saying is that the investigation by the panel has found additional evidence to refer to the Justice Department for an indictment.

Do you really think most Americans weren't bothered by a bunch of White Supremacists planning to overthrow our nation and murder anyone they don't like?

Wrong. House impeached Trump twice. He was not convicted and removed. Nothing about exonerated. You should the Constitution. It is explained there.
