Lots of low income folk in NM. Many kids starting university are first in their family.

good. but the point is one can make a LOT of money without going to university.
and the way to do it is build your skilled labor supply, like Germany does where apprenticeships are widely available/ Government schools can direct one to a partnership with an employer, in lieu of trying to do it yourself

New Mexico want kids to study physics and stay in New Mexico and work. Or study English and teach high school English.

So every Dumbass is now eligible for College?
That’s how it was in the ‘70’s in Louisiana. Any state resident with a H.S. diploma was eligible
to enroll in any state university.
In the fall semester the freshman dorms were filled with loud music and parties until all hours of the night. Spring semester the same dorms were more than half empty and those remaining were quiet as a church mouse.
I remember writing a tuition check for $90 that first semester.
Anyway they don’t do that anymore. LSU is actually somewhat competitive to get in to and a student won’t be considered with less than a 3.2 gpa from h.s.
 
Equal protection of our at-will employment laws can solve for Capitalism's natural rate of unemployment in a market friendly manner.
