IMO, it's real but there's more to it. This has the marks of an offstage feud or unrelated disagreement.

Regardless, Smith was wrong no matter how inappropriate the joke.

I watched it on Tablo about 30 minutes behind the live broadcast. At first I thought it was an act too. I also thought that Jada was probabably starring in GI Jane II due to her shaved head. Only insiders, or fanatics, would have known she did that because she was going bald.

I'm going bald and shave my head. If someone joked about it, that's on them. If I was ashamed of it, I'd wear a hat or wig not tell someone to go punch out the joker.

This is some weird triangle between all three of them. While I'm certain there's more to the story, I'm also certain it's real Hollywood bullshit like Sean Penn threatening to "smelt" his Oscars. These assholes take themselves far too seriously.

Who cares, these people are good at pretending to be a character and make good shows, other than that why does anyone care?

Yes but I time-shifted with Tablo to skip over the BS and commercials. TBH, except for the Smith-Rock thing it was pretty fucking boring.

The hit was hard enough to be heard on the recording and Rock took it like a man and maintained his composure.

Despite Rock not pressing charges, I'm curious what repercussions there will be over this. Since it was all recorded, can't the DA still press charges even if Rock does not? The Academy can press charges for the disruption.

Lawsuits to follow with multi-million dollar donations to charity and community service to follow?

I like Will Smith as an actor just like I like Tom Cruise but both of them have proved themselves to be wackadoodles who I'd avoid IRL. These are not stable people.

The real reason we have the kinds of problems we do today, is because assholes like you shift into the conservative versus liberal mode even if someone just sneezes or coughs.

Rock refused to press charges. if he did, Smith would be in trouble. I read that in spite of that, the police are investigating. Smith is not in the clear yet.

Will Smith is 20 lbs. heavier than Chris Rock...

...and 6" taller.

It was a punk move for an actor I have always admired.

I doubt he would have gone up and slapped Mike Tyson if Mike had been the guy making the remark.
