Jackson, Biden's Supreme Court pick, refuses to define the word 'woman'

They've been few and far between throughout history but that doesn't mean they should be discriminated against.
I dont want them discriminated either - but I also dont want them to be a protected class
where even MENTIONING their biology gets one banned from social media

as a protected class that male swimmer also has legal rights superior to the other women swimmers

What are you saying makes them a protected class? Seems to me the school decided to let her compete, not the federal government.

Bidens promise was to nominate a black woman. Maybe someone should ask him to define that.

You define it. Rightys are caterwauling about it, so start it off with a thorough definition and we can proceed.
If the claim is these people are inadequate because you believe they do not have a definition that satisfies you, then start it off.

The fact that this thread is a spin off of a piss poor "gotcha" attempt by a MAGA member of Congress is pretty lame, IMHO.

No, I never heard of him but what's your point? He's an actor who chose to go public with his views and got a lot of blowback in the UK. You can't blame Americans for what happened. And just because he's a famous comedian doesn't mean he's shielded from criticism. Look at what happened to Mel Gibson after he came out with anti-Semitic remarks, he got well-deserved flak for them. Look at Jane Fonda, the Dixie Chicks and others who suffered at the box office because of their outspokenness. Linehan is no martyr to free speech, he's just another hater and for no reason I can discern.

The only thing I made up my mind about is that I'm not going to hate someone because of race, religion, or gender orientation etc.

The UK government is going to ensure that free speech is not trampled by the Wokerati. This is something that should be applauded and is long overdue. It's about time that loony Lefties on social media should be in put back in their boxes.

Free speech to get legal supremacy, says Dominic Raab as he unveils plan to stop democratic debate being 'whittled away by wokery' in major victory over cancel culture

Free speech will be given legal supremacy over other rights to stop debate from being eroded, Dominic Raab pledges today.

In an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail, the Deputy Prime Minister warns that democratic debate is being ‘whittled away by wokery’.

Unveiling plans to replace Labour’s Human Rights Act with a British Bill of Rights, Mr Raab says the principle of free speech will become a legal ‘trump card’.

The proposed reforms will seek to reverse the corrosion of long-held freedoms by ‘cancel culture’, political correctness and creeping moves towards European-style privacy by the back door driven by judicial interpretations of the Human Rights Act, he says.

The changes will protect media freedom, allowing the Press to continue to expose corruption and wrongdoing, and allow individuals to speak their minds.

The landmark proposals, currently out for consultation, are expected to be included in the Queen’s Speech later this year.

Mr Raab, who is also the Justice Secretary, told the Mail: ‘Effectively, free speech will be given what will amount to “trump card” status in a whole range of areas.

‘I feel very strongly that the parameters of free speech and democratic debate are being whittled away, whether by the privacy issue or whether it’s wokery and political correctness. I worry about those parameters of free speech being narrowed.’

Addressing concerns that decisions by unelected judges were gradually introducing privacy laws by the back door, without the approval of Parliament, Mr Raab added: ‘The thrust is going to be making sure that when we balance rights, whether it’s the right to free speech and the right to privacy or other rights, we make sure that the greatest overriding importance and weight is attached to free speech.’

It follows widespread concern at a legal ruling in favour of the Duchess of Sussex in a privacy dispute against The Mail on Sunday – as well as growing concern over ‘cancel culture’.

The Supreme Court ruled Monday that a landmark federal civil rights law from the 1960s protects gay and transgender workers, a watershed ruling for *LGBTQ rights written by one of the court’s most conservative justices.

Justice Neil M. Gorsuch and Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. joined the court’s liberals in the 6-to-3 ruling. They said Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination “because of sex,” includes gay and transgender employees.

Several people have given definitions already, not their fault if you're too fucking stupid to follow the thread(s)

Define woman is a gotcha question that has nothing to do with the courts. It is a diversion. I missed when the Repub judges were asked that all-important question. How could we have missed such a pertinent line of questioning?
Have rightys provided a definition? It seems to be a job for everyone.

Sorry Nordy, it was a relevant question that WILL come up in the courts and her inability to answer was a clue to her beliefs. (plenty of five year olds answering the same question with accuracy if you want to search)

But, since you are being a bit picky, did you feel it was important that idiots like Booker going through Kavanaugh's high school yearbook page by page was relevant and important?

It sounds like you support free speech when it's a controversy re: someone you like, i.e. Linehan, v. someone you don't like, i.e. the Duchess of Sussex.
