Hey man, at this point I don’t even know why Cons participate on message boards. Y’all don’t have any consistent ideological foundation, and the only thing that seems of any consequence is that you just want to say something that is the opposite of a liberal.
Y’all change your arguments almost by the minute. Y’all said the enumerated powers don’t give the government authority to do any thing pertaining the general welfare. Y’all claim to want to get rid of the Nanny state, and return to rugged self reliance.
But, now you’re on here whining about how we need the FDIC, and disability insurance?

If you had any core beliefs or consistent foundation, you would say we don’t need unemployment insurance. There’s a solution for unemployment that doesn’t involve the nanny state. Save your own freaking money in case of a rainy day. That’s the

Wow, so you agree with liberals that the general welfare clause is an explicit authority granted in the constitution.
I hope you don't make you're fellow wingnuts mad. Because they've been arguing for 70 years that the government has no general welfare authorities, and its powers are in fact limited to the specific enumerated clauses.
I wonder how you square your sudden admiration for granting government power for needed services, with your allegedly conservative "strict contructionist" ideology of the constitution?
I thought Cons believe in self-reliance, personal responsibility, and they were against the nanny state. Why would a Con be in favor of government disability insurance? Surely, a self reliant person can save money for a rainy day....there's also charity, and family members can help....there are also private insurance policies that cover medical care for disabilities.
