U.S. would reduce its oil production to move forward with a tentative deal limiting global output,
part of an effort by the administration to address sinking prices affecting American oil producers.

An agreement would cut production by 10 million barrels a day, a 10 percent drop in oil production.

No, it's called summarizing....headlines often do that...and if you read the ENTIRE article instead of taking things out of context, you'd see the end game Trump was shooting for back then is exactly what the headline states.

Trump said the U.S. would cut production levels by 250,000 to 300,000 in order to assist Mexico in meeting the parameters outlined by OPEC+, but he could not provide any details as to how Mexico would reimburse the U.S. for cutting production.

.... The deal Trump is trying to shepherd across the finish line would stall a trade dispute between Saudi Arabia and Russia, with both counties increasing production as the coronavirus pushed demand for oil to drop by 30 percent.

Trump has had conversations with both leaders, including a call to Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday morning

WTF you are acting the utter partisan .that link was posted to make it look like Trump policy was to cut production. It wasn't. it was only 2020 and that was because of COVID

here is what he actually did ( among much else like de-reg) pre-COVID

My advice is stop defending liars, prevaricators and dissemblers -it makes you look foolish

By the numbers, Trump’s time in office has been a momentous success for oil producers: since his inauguration, US crude output has surged from 9.14 million b/d to a forecasted record 12.34 million b/d in July, a 35% increase, according to the US Energy Information Administration.

I don't know what the hell your problem is, but it's obviously affecting your comprehensive reading skills. I highlighted the OTHER parts that reaffirms the headline/article title. Your supposition and conjecture ARE NOT the content of the article. Period!

Nothing "partisan" there....that's the damned article that YOU separated a few words from to attach your own wishful thinking. Now in typical right wing wonk fashion, you'll just keep parroting this line of yours in exclusion of all else. But the ENTIRE CONTENT AND CONCLUSION OF THE ARTICLE WON'T LET YOU GET AWAY WITH SUCH FOLLY.

Trump is a documented liar and con man....this was evident in his private business career LONG before he shoe horned his way into the GOP primary. That you are bending over backwards to try and defend him in any way is not only foolish, it's just damned pathetic. Carry on.

you dont do context do you?
What is the purpose of that idiot's post? it's not there in situ.. you might as well be posting Trump lost millions of jobs in 202o. without context of his 3 previous years it's meant to deceive

Im not arguing the article is factual, im arguing it has no place in debate of energy prices/production
Did you miss the stats I gave you for his first 3 years of Bbl?

apparently so as this is your "conclusion"

dont rant - use context.
In context of increasing productions and lowering prices the first 3 years were a rousing success

why you choose to latch on to a stat that was posted to mislead is your problem
Dont shove it in my face as proof of ANYTHING except COVID's effect on the economy in 2020
the year of that article
Look at the stat I gave you for years 1-3 for a fuller picture

"figures dont lie but lairs figure" was the intent of that post.
if you want to buy into it -WTF do I care just dont expect me to be as gullible as you

Who judges Presidents by their 1st 3 years?

A lot of football teams "win" games for 3 quarters.

Biden has already fucked everything up and he's only been in a year. Worst president in our history.

Nah; the economy is much better today than it was when Trump left office. And he's handling the Ukraine crisis much better than Trump ever would have. Not to mention COVID basically ending.

He's not a great President - but Trump was an absolute disaster.

Biden is a complete fuck up. Period. Gas is higher than it's ever been. Inflation is higher than it's been in 40 years. I can go on, but try to dispute those facts for now.

Gas is higher because we're standing up to a tyrant. Inflation was inevitable after COVID.

Both are global issues.

Gas is high because Biden stopped domestic fossil fuel drilling and exploration. The Chinese Disease had nothing to do with inflation.

Economists would disagree w/ that last point. Inflation was inevitable - and clearly, it's a global problem.

Domestic drilling - which I agree we should do - would have minimal impact on gas prices. Which are also a global problem.
