(1) What IS America - the Republic that was birthed in 1776? What exactly made it the the wealthiest and most powerful nation in the 1000 year history of Western civilization in such a relatively short time ?

(2) The citizens of the country called America are called Americans, right? So tell me who in the United States is a TRUE (American) American? How would you identify and characterize a TRUE American?

That's the rub w/ COVID. A lot of times, people are asymptomatic & don't know they have it.

The point is the many on the right are self-absorbed and won't lift a finger to help their fellow Americans. They never would make the sacrifices today that the Greatest Generation made in WWII.

America for most of its history was quite exceptional in makeup. Most Americans were property owners for most of our history. Americans also had an abundance of things like food and resources available to them the rest of the world didn't. Add in a work ethic and a reasonably homogenous society and you got that result.

An American is someone who is a citizen in the United States. Everything else is subject to opinion.

One reason for most of America's existence Americans were willing to defend their nation is they had a direct stake in it. That is they were owners and took pride in their nation because they were very much a part of it. People in America saw and believed that if they weren't direct owners they could become such over time. There was an acceptance that working hard would bring personal benefits beyond the work. There was also a reality that government was not going to particularly muck in your life much.

When you have a nation of renters or those dispossessed for whatever reason, who have little or no stake in the outcome of things, they tend to show little loyalty to the nation they are in. This sort see hard work as gaining them little or nothing as the fruits of their labor are confiscated. This is where the Left works to force the majority of society. It works to their political advantage to have a nation of what amounts to serfs and slaves under their control in a dependent, totalitarian system.

Then a mask makes no real difference does it? This is particularly true when it is poorly worn and made of who-knows-what in quality. It becomes little more than a political symbol.

If you think that making a political statement is more important than actually doing something useful, then you are out of touch with reality.

She pretends that she thinks that everyone who disagrees with her politically wants all people with even slightly more pigment in their skin to die horrible deaths usually with a Nazi Flag nearby and as many MAGA hats as possible, and that those people (those who disagree with her political opinion) would be willing to join on up with Russia or Cuba, or Venezuela, etc. to do it. I find it best to let folks that pretend to believe this to speak as much as possible without a response. Responding is useless and their position needs nobody to argue against it. Nobody believes that every person that disagrees with them is part of some extremist minority opinion, it is just pretense.
