The Turkish drones they have been using have destroyed tanks causing the convoy to limp along rather than drive into Kyiv in a quick rush. This has given a bit of hope to the Ukraine.

Is this the moment when Joe Biden lost the war against Russia? The moment when Poland’s MiG-29 fighter jets, delivered indirectly via the US to gallant Ukraine, could have made the vital though marginal difference between peace and war, between subjugation and freedom in Ukraine?

It is a depressing thought that such a golden opportunity is being tossed away because… well, because it might upset the Russians and cause a third world war? But it wouldn’t, because the Russians know they’d lose, and for that reason a third world war wouldn’t happen.

It is the seemingly forgotten doctrine of collective security and nuclear deterrence that has kept the west safe since the end of the Second World War. President Biden, a dedicated Atlanticist, seems to have mislaid his old Cold War instincts.

If we do not want Russia eternally threatening its neighbors with war, and the rest of the world (and the planet itself) with its nuclear arsenal, then we have to stop Vladimir Putin at the earliest opportunity. We cannot just say “you can have Ukraine, but not another inch” – because he knows we don’t mean it.

If America won’t lead the west in this resistance, and fight for Ukraine, why would they fight for Estonia, Poland… or Germany even? The answer that they are all Nato members means nothing if the calculus is that America doesn’t wish to be involved in foreign wars and has turned isolationist. Earl, this is not a farting contest between America and Russia. Nor is it a contest to see who has the biggest dick between Putin and Biden. The entire world is dealing with a madman who has no reservations about using his Nuclear Weapons on anyone who interferes in his land grab and obvious genocide of Ukrainians. And if I may paraphrase, he has made that loud and clear in some of his most recent global rants and threats he has made in just the last few days.

First of all, regardless to who would be delivering the Jet Fighter planes across the border, it would be very risky and dangerous suicide mission to the pilots as the Ukrainians are poised to shoot down any MIGs they see already who are holding the stingers and shoulder fired rockets that could shoot them down by friendly fire.

There is no such a way to coordinate information among the Freedom Fighters that are mostly made up of school teachers, bankers, postal workers, and bread makers who stayed behind to defend their country.

So this is a bad idea to try and fly planes into the Ukraine at this time. Naturally our defense department did the right thing by rejecting the Poles plan that would drag us into an air to air combat mission with Russian fighter jets to deliver them. And who knows what that madman would do if we got involved, as he could start launching Nukes against the US in retaliation.

There is no indication...proof that Putin is insane. He certainly has out flanked Biden.

The nukes bluff by Putin is just that, a bluff.

Women, children, infants are being blown apart. A sovereign nation has been attacked. The idea that anything we do to help stop the slaughter will anger Putin is specious. We have nukes too and Putin knows it.

Biden's main job is to protect our shores and keep Americans safe. Doing the wrong thing and kicking off a nuclear war is a way to get us all killed.

It requires complicated maneuvers, that would be way beyond Trump. Biden is acting smart. It is called diplomacy and statesmanship. Blustering as daffy Donald does would have made this mess a lot worse, or Trump would have just backed Putin from the start.
Biden is acting as we would want a president to do, carefully and using international connections to formulate responses.

No one blamed Trump for a war someone else started. Trump was attacked for the things Trump actually did.

How did Biden declare war on our energy sector? The fact that you aren't willing to sacrifice any of your own personal comforts for you country speaks loudly about you.
