Penske Shuts Down Texas MAGA Moron

Here's the thing:

If the original Trucker protests in Canada stated, "We're against being forced to take experimental gene therapy because the gov't decides it's a "vaccine", then I wouldn't have a problem with them because they are referring to the science that is being hotly contested within the medical/scientific community, and the contradictory information coming out of the CDC, FDA, NIH and WHO. Instead, they take a childish advocation of "I just don't like people telling me what to do".

As to the American's taking up similar protests.....they are not only making the same errors as the Canadians, but they are being inundated with parasitic fringe right wing and neo-fascist groups and such (as is the Canadians).

Penske has the legal right NOT to have their brand name associated with any type of political/social movement that they don't like....a right of private sector that our resident right wing wonks are always hollering about. So it would seem that there is a bit of a conundrum for our pro-"vaccine" folk in this instance. Interesting.
You have to laugh at the independent owner/operators who are 'protesting' high fuel prices, but spending thousands on fuel driving across the nation.

Of course, this is a money grab funded by GOFUNDME

Once again, decent fact based, all encompassing journalism "trumps" the biased bullhorn that is the Murdoch mouthpiece known as Fox News...pity our resident right wing toadies can't own up to that.
I have friends who went in big on start up fracking companies, and took a beating when S. Arabia opened the spigot. Paupers like us mean nothing. When the big players on Wall St. demand returns on their terrible investments, we get what we have now.

An American Oil machine that just joined OPEC

I don't quite understand the conundrum. I don't have any problem with mask and vaccine mandates. I think people should wash their hands, cough and sneeze into their elbows, and socially distance. I also think that both convoys are waste of time temper tantrums from assholes who are too selfish to consider anyone except themselves.
In an economy where truckers are in short supply, these morons probably can't find work.

You didn't even know what the fuck the convoy was! You didn't know it was planned. You didn't know it was happening. You didn't realize that virtually no media outlet covered it.

You and your Klan friends failed. Again. And now you're predicting a shitstorm. Get the fuck outta here.
LMFAO. Not only is HE clueless, but the truckers who are protesting mask mandates that don't exist.

None of them follow current events, I suppose

No way did you serve in the military, you mentally unstable buffoon!

You get a government crazy check maybe.

OK bitch, prove me wrong. Post a pic of your DD214 with a piece of paper with "DUTCH UNCLE" on top. Be sure and block the names n stuff....
If I do, what's in it for me? Your undying respect and gratitude? 10,000 Internet Points? A "thanks"? How about, if I do post a DD214 as an officer helicopter pilot, that you have to purposefully commit a blatant** 12B violation against me and accept the consequences. If I can't produce one, then I do the same to you. Deal?

**frankly, when going down in flames it's best to go out with a lot of gusto!

Bump. You ran off, Matt. Why did you run?

People knowing you're not a lying shitbag.

They're all idiots; and Matt's an alcoholic. He was blacked out before he signed on yesterday. It went downhill from there.

I said something about the convoy IN THIS THREAD and he didn't know what I was talking about. So I opened a thread specifically about the convoy, but that didn't help anything. He had no idea where this Penske guy was going and no idea a convoy was planned in DC. Then, in the middle of the night, he started predicting how massive and successful and revolutionary the convoy was going to be. After the first day was already over and had bombed.

Matt and all his MAGA friends are dumber than dog shit.

It all depends on the rental contract and whether the lessee was abiding by that contract.

I am guessing Penske had lawyers look at it before taking action.

Exactly. If it was in the contract, so be it. If it wasn't, Penske has no right to keep this guy from using the truck as per the contract even if they don't like what it was used for.

I wonder though... Back when we had that 'Summer of arson' going on with BLM, Antifa, and the like, you might remember the woman that used a U-Haul truck to bring protest materials to a riot in Nashville TN. I wonder if U-Haul gave her the same treatment since these rental company contracts are all pretty much the same thing.

It's clear when he's been drinking. His posts are even dumber than normal.

So Americans will nevermore be able to pay for their housing with 1 week or less's worth of work? Sad. :(

Like they were for the entire time up until at least the mid 1990s. :palm:

The American Dream is fucked and "Deal with it", is that what you say?

How is it fair that everyone in America always had that up until around the 2000s in America and future generations get fucked? I don't think it is. MAGA!

America was and should be the land of opportunity if you're willing to work.

Here a song to illustrate my point:

50 cents rooms to let..in..

1964

"The minimum wage in 1964 was $1.15"

https://www.reference.com/history/much-did-everyday-items-cost-1964-cfba9fcd6734ea4f

So $2.30 (minimum wage for pushing broom for 2 hrs) and 50 cents is the housing cost. Less than 25% of income.

Only for 2 hours work. Now if someone was to work 8 hours, the cost of housing wasn't jack shit.

Things went sideways with the LBJ free housing and food program, too. (1961)

Before that, either you worked and made it in America or didn't.

People are slaves to the government now. It's bad.
The American dream is only dead to pussies who are to lazy or scared to do something about it. Previous generations of Americans faced far harder struggles than we ever faced. None of us had to deal with World Wars and Great Depressions that generations before us struggled through.

Times have changed and so has our economy. It’s never going back to what it was before. Our economy is now a knowledge based economy and regardless of what you do for a living if you ain’t earning you’d better start learning and take to heart the old conservative value that is very much valid. Hold yourself accountable.

In today’s economy if you can’t deal with change, and lots of it, and learn what you have too to stay relevant then it’s on you. That’s the reality and selective forces we currently have to deal with. I understand the frustration involved but that doesn’t change anything. I’ve seen a lot of my peers burn out and drop out cause they are simply burned out on the rapid pace of changes in our life time that are historic. It’s hard having to make radical changes in the way you learn and re-learn constantly as needed and it can wear you out.

But this is almost a minor adversity compared to those who came generations before us had to deal with.

So that’s the reality we live in and have to hold ourselves accountable for or life will indeed be difficult and success hard to find.

(deflection pictures deleted)
Yes, the rental contracts are pretty much the same. Most of them require that you stay in the state where the vehicle is rented unless you get a long distance contract. If the guy got a contract to use the truck locally and then drove it out of the state he violated the contract.

We don't know what kind of Penske vehicle the driver had or why Penski shut it down. The driver claimed Penske was opposed to the convoy but Penske may have been opposed to a truck being 1,000 miles from where it was supposed to be.

And, that's the gist of it. If Penske shut the vehicle down for the protest, versus shutting it down for being used improperly per contract.
