The only way to survive as a Nation, Is to open every possible outlet for oil

That's what the establishment war criminals want you to believe. Gullible Americans fall for the propaganda every time. Put on your mask, get another vaxx, drill baby drill, and go to war for peace.

What a bunch of suckers.

So you think they don't want $110 oil? The government isn't issuing new oil leases on government lands. You don't know much about the oil industry do you?

ROFLMAO. And you don't have a new car today. Does that mean you can't use your existing car?
I didn't realize the oil companies were restricted to only drilling on brand new leases from the Federal government.

Oil companies are producing oil on less than 50% of they land they have under their current federal leases.
Federal lands made up only about 25% of oil production in the US in 2020. 60% of oil production on federal leases is from offshore leases.
Drilling companies have plenty of land they can drill on, most of which is non federal.
The average time to get a Federal permit to drill in 2020 was 142 days. The average time to get a permit in Texas was 2 days.

North Dakota production is 73% of what it was 2 years ago. That isn't the fault of Biden.

In 2020, North Dakota producers were paying people to take their oil as they rushed to shut down wells.

Keystone XL had moved exactly zero barrels of oil since it has never been built and wasn't projected to be completed for a couple of years. So which pipelines that were actually carrying oil did Biden shut down?

You claimed this -

What operating pipeline did Biden stop? Stopping a pipeline that wasn't projected to move oil any time in the next 2 years is not going to affect current prices.

KEY POINTS
The Biden administration is delaying decisions on new oil and gas leases and permits after a Louisiana federal judge blocked officials from using higher cost estimates of climate change.
The leasing pause is an unintended result of the Feb. 11 decision by U.S. District Judge James Cain, who argued that the administration’s attempt to raise the real cost of climate change would hike energy costs.
The ruling has prompted delays and uncertainty across at least four federal agencies that were using higher cost estimates of greenhouse gas emissions in decisions.

The Biden administration is delaying decisions on new oil and gas leases and permits after a Louisiana federal judge blocked officials from using higher cost estimates of climate change when making rules for polluting industries.

The leasing pause is an unintended result of the Feb. 11 decision by U.S. District Judge James Cain, who sided with a group GOP-led states and argued that the Biden administration’s attempt to raise the real cost of climate change would hike energy costs and hurt state revenues from energy production.

The ruling has prompted delays and uncertainty across at least four federal agencies that were using higher cost estimates of greenhouse gas emissions in decisions, including plans to restrict methane emissions from natural gas drilling and a grant program for transit projects. It also continues a contentious legal battle that has hampered Biden’s plans to address climate change.

One of the most significant and unintended outcomes of the ruling is the government’s pause on new oil and gas leases and permits to drill on federal lands and waters. Lease sales in states across the U.S. West, including Montana and Wyoming, are now delayed.

Remember the Greatest Generation, how would they have reacted to this? I think they would have tightened their belts, and bit the bullet. We are now so me, me, me…

they would say, "I remember when gas was 25 cents a gallon.......what's the matter with the world today?"........

Anything else will lead to our demise, because we can't sanction Russian oil if we don't, we do not want to then turn and fund the Iranian Nuclear program, which means we give a middle finger to the Ukrainian people and EU! If the left wants to do it temporarily, whatever but it needs to be done!

Interesting how the same individuals who have brutally criticized Biden for gas prices now want him to do something that will escalate gas prices even further, one might question the motives with this thinking

Second, over last five years, Russia has already increased their presence and influence in the Middle East, Iran being one of those nations, maintaining or shutting off oil now isn’t going to change that development

Lastly, oil independence is more than just defined as not having to import oil (https://www.forbes.com/sites/rrapier/2021/11/14/is-the-us-energy-independent/) proven by the fact today we are still exporting oil

Lol, no they don’t, and it’s hilarious you think they do, in reality, oil companies probably have power over your legislators.

I suspect the people that felt the same as you were surprised when the government forced the country to lockdown and wear useless diapers on their faces for nearly two years.

Your nativity is refreshing. Are you under 18?

There is a difference between survive and thrive. We can survive by changing nothing at all; however we can only truly thrive if we make every effort to fill the interim between now and renewables with abundant energy.

When did the government force the country into lockdown? I think you’re exaggerating a wee bit. There were parts of the country that didn’t shut down. Myself, I stayed home voluntarily and I still wear a mask in public. I probably will in certain places for the rest of my life.
