Call your oil drilling company. They are the ones with the oil leases and the drilling equipment.

1) We already produce much more oil than Russia.
2) It’s way overly dramatic to say that’s the only way to survive.
3) If we want to ever be energy independent we need oil, and research and development into other options, especially Nuclear and solar.
4) We would need effective and substantive conservation.
Oil is the limiting factor, so yes, create more, but push on all fronts to eventually erase our dependence on it.

I've thought about that watching the Ukrainians. They have such strength of character, and courage. And we have millions here who called wearing a mask for a few minutes in a store "tyranny."
But I've never been opposed to domestic drilling. I don't think it has to be one or the other. If Dems gave in a little on that, maybe they could find some compromise w/ GOP politicians to also put more into developing renewables. Domestic oil for the short term, green for the long term.
Eventually, we're going to have to get off of oil. It would be better if we decided that for ourselves instead of having supply dictate.
