FACT CHECK: No 'death panel' in health care bill

Wingnuts equate "end of life" counseling with euthanasia. I knew somebody with terminal cancer and his family's end of life counseling dealt with in-home hospice care and the medications necessary to keep him pain-free until the end.

This "death panel" CT is so dishonest as to defy credibility but then again, righty wingnuts always rely on the fear card rather than the fact card to keep their followers in line.

IMHO everyone should have a living will to be sure his/her wishes are carried out and to remove the burden of choice/guilt from their family.

I have one on file at my local hospital, with my physician and a card in my wallet letting anyone know where to find my living will on file.

they screamed about Bush taking away all sorts of their rights, but have no problem with this big brother Obamacare..beats me..

Yeah those whiny liberals bitched about the government taking away their freedom of speech and freedom of association, but we complain about our freedom to actively fuck poor people and suddenly we're the bad guys.

poor people have has much opportunity to get out of being poor as the rest of us...so no one is advocating fucking them over..quit being so dramatic

Au contrare. The ones born of poor parents do not have nearly the "leg up" on life as those born to parents of more finiancially secure parents.

The statistics are not refutable on this.

Fact: if you think a death panel was part of the proposal, you are an idiot. No exceptions.

Some might. If they do, switch companies or take them to court. *shrug*

So what's your answer to my question?

The answer to your queation is that public insurance option will act exactly like a private insurer when it comes to claims. There will be things covered and things that aren't. If you feel you need more coverage than do what you just suggested and switch insurers. The bill does not cover health care it covers the payment options - which makes your question obsolete and indicative of the knuckledragger from wence it came

Real simple to switch insurers with a pre-existing condition there SM?
Or if you have insurance thru your employer?

Such simple flippant advise that does not work out so well?

Knuckle dragger; how ironic.

So you answer appears to be that the government panel's role is to ration health care coverage. Wouldn't that make the title "death panel" be close to the mark?

Have you ever tried to sue the government?

I don't have one yet but plan to get one.

You cannot be serious. Poor people have as much opportunity to get out of being poor as the rest of us?

Words fail me, believe it or not.

So hire an attorney and sue the one that's ripping you off. *shrug*

What and raise insurance rates with frivilous lawsuits?

You change shoes so much we should call you Imelda.

Idjit if it is in your company sponsored insurance policy you cannot sue, just bend over and take it.
