Freedom and Equality were what the Framers were going for.

Loyal Opposition was the fallacy that the Politians who followed talked up to make it seem like they were doing the citizenry a favor by spending those tax dollars. It was used to justify central power and an expanding government that the framers were decidedly against.

a. its illegal to direct the armed forces of the United States against its citizens
b. every single member of the armed forces is protected by law from refusing to follow illegal orders
