That's where Hybrids come in. Run them through a tank of gasoline, switch over, and drive them for hours more on a battery.

I think you'll like the mileage range of the Hybrids.

Motels that offer free electric charging will become the most popular motels in the country- even though the rates may go up a bit.

I was thinking of doing that but then you still have an ICE engine that needs to be maintained. You still have oil changes, a radiator, a transmission and fluids.

If people aren't buying EVs because of the lack of charging stations, they really need to look at a US map of charging stations. They're essentially ubiquitous unless you're driving through Wyoming or Montana. And you can always charge them using a home outlet. Every home is essentially a charging station. Can't say that with a gas car.

Yes, Teslas tow. Both the Model X and Model 3 Teslas are officially rated for towing, and their towing capacity by weight is not far off from a standard fuel-powered car at 5,000 lb.

Hybrid mileage is about the same as an equivalent sized ICE car. Slightly worse, actually. You are carrying around TWO engines plus the large batteries.

Oil, coal, nuclear, hydro, all generate electricity. The additional load imposed by large numbers of electric cars is probably going to call up on more coal and oil fired power plants.

Wind and solar are piddle power. They won't produce sufficient electricity.

The SOTC has been shutting down it's power generating stations. Their grid is already unstable and suffering from regular blackouts. Can't charge your car then!
