ICEs are on the way out. They will not be manufactured at all in the near future.

The right wing nut jobs won't be able to GIVE away their ICE cars soon. They'll have to pay someone to tow them to a scrap shop.
They'll be about as valuable as an old CRT terminal or a Blockbuster subscription.

I'm not in the market for a car, regardless of petrol prices, but i certainly don't think that buying an electric car is a bad idea. Quite the contrary.
I just wish the charging stations would become more prolific.

If you're staying close to home, you can charge up at home;
but what if you're not?

That's where Hybrids come in. Run them through a tank of gasoline, switch over, and drive them for hours more on a battery.

I think you'll like the mileage range of the Hybrids.

Motels that offer free electric charging will become the most popular motels in the country- even though the rates may go up a bit.

I was thinking of doing that but then you still have an ICE engine that needs to be maintained. You still have oil changes, a radiator, a transmission and fluids.

If people aren't buying EVs because of the lack of charging stations, they really need to look at a US map of charging stations. They're essentially ubiquitous unless you're driving through Wyoming or Montana. And you can always charge them using a home outlet. Every home is essentially a charging station. Can't say that with a gas car.

Let's be clear. You know absolutely nothing about other posters, Your immature insults are beneath contempt. You show serious problems you should have addressed.

I know everything about you welfare boy. And the rest of those who need public handouts to feed their uneducated, lazy asses.

You not only know nothing about the people you insult, but you are not smart enough to feel humiliated for acting like a child. I really feel sorry for you. You should seek help.

Yes, you can. You need to stop reading the far right wing bullshit media who tells you this crap. You're welcome.

Yes, Teslas tow. Both the Model X and Model 3 Teslas are officially rated for towing, and their towing capacity by weight is not far off from a standard fuel-powered car at 5,000 lb.

funny_redneck_crazy_face_animated_gif_by_bensib-d4is1um.gif

5000 lbs. is not much more than a mid-sized car :palm:

Type in charging station on your phone and your zip and a map pops up with all of them. Most electrics get 250 to 300 miles on a charge. If you stop to eat, most places have charging spots. So do places to shop. Stay at a motel and charge overnight. There are 180 charging stations within 30 miles of my home.

EXPENSIVE!

Checking into a motel after only 300 miles!

Which has less horsepower (450) than a Tesla Model S (650), but you do you...

The Ram pickup truck can produce that horsepower for the entire tankful of fuel. The Tesla can't do that!
The Ram pickup can be refueled and produce that horsepower AGAIN in just a few minutes. The Tesla can't do that!

Seems like you caused a lot of problems for yourself by buying a weak ass truck that has less horsepower than an electric sedan.

That 'weak ass' truck can continue to pull it's full load for the entire tankful of fuel. The Tesla can't.

I'm going to have a good laugh at all those right-leaning gas drivers when they try to sell their used gas cars in a few years. They're gonna have to pay a tow truck to tow their cars away for scrap because no one will want them. America will be laughing at them.

Speculation, based on faulty information.

Hybrid mileage is about the same as an equivalent sized ICE car. Slightly worse, actually. You are carrying around TWO engines plus the large batteries.

So?

NO, "MOST PLACES" DO NOT. NOT EVEN CLOSE. AND THEY USE DIESEL FUEL TO GENERATE ELECTRICITY ,EINSTEIN....

Oil, coal, nuclear, hydro, all generate electricity. The additional load imposed by large numbers of electric cars is probably going to call up on more coal and oil fired power plants.

Wind and solar are piddle power. They won't produce sufficient electricity.

The SOTC has been shutting down it's power generating stations. Their grid is already unstable and suffering from regular blackouts. Can't charge your car then!

What are you talking about?

The largest power generating facility in the US is the Grand Coulee Dam in Washington State, and 9 of the top 10 power generating facilities are nuclear powered, not diesel.

If by "diesel" you mean petroleum plants, they only produce 0.4% of the nation's electricity.

Someone lied to you and you were too dumb to know it.

Yeah. Coal makes up 19% of the nation's electricity. Natural gas makes up 40% of the nation's electricity.

So you are driving a coal and fart powered car.
