Do you think many on the right even understand what the Founding Fathers did?

no....by which I mean you demmycunts violated the constitution when you changed election laws at the last minute by executive order or administrative action in swing states, stealing the election.....

Love the way Trumpers take it upon themselves to decide they and not The Supreme Court should interpret The Constitution.

you can peruse a dictionary all you like to try and sound smart, but the nonsense you're spewing in an effort to make a point is failing

Maybe this will help, if Alexander Hamilton is not guilty of "spewing nonsense":

"The first reason that the founders created the Electoral College is hard to understand today. The founding fathers were afraid of direct election to the Presidency. They feared a tyrant could manipulate public opinion and come to power. Hamilton wrote in the Federalist Papers:

It was equally desirable, that the immediate election should be made by men most capable of analyzing the qualities adapted to the station, and acting under circumstances favorable to deliberation, and to a judicious combination of all the reasons and inducements which were proper to govern their choice. A small number of persons, selected by their fellow-citizens from the general mass, will be most likely to possess the information and discernment requisite to such complicated investigations. It was also peculiarly desirable to afford as little opportunity as possible to tumult and disorder. This evil was not least to be dreaded in the election of a magistrate, who was to have so important an agency in the administration of the government as the President of the United States. But the precautions which have been so happily concerted in the system under consideration, promise an effectual security against this mischief."

we're basically arguing the same thing..........so i'm left wondering why you're trying to continue this

The difference these days is that the left uses the SC to legislate. The right to abortion miraculously appeared in 1972 how amazing

”Marjorie Taylor Greene Uses Declaration of Independence to Defend Violent Capitol Riot”

“Republicans have long been trying to thread the needle of defending the Jan. 6 rally to protest the 2020 election results while trying to wash their hands of any culpability for the violent riot at the Capitol that followed. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) isn’t splitting hairs. During an appearance on Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast on Tuesday, Greene cited the Declaration of Independence to defend the actual insurrection, the one in which hundreds of Trump supporters broke into the Capitol, resulting in five deaths and dozens of injuries.”

“Jan. 6 was just a riot,” Greene said, implying the violent attempt to overthrow American democracy paled in significance to the lies of BlueAnon and the media, which she said would do anything to cause her to be killed. Never mind the actual lies about the 2020 election results that led to the storming of the Capitol that put the lives of her colleagues in danger on Jan. 6.”

“If you think about what our Declaration of Independence says, it says to overthrow tyrants,” Greene continued in defense of the riot.”

Amazing how quickly they throw around such as the Declaration of Independence like it was a bumper sticker cliche. They were just showing their independence busting up the Capitol and threatening Congress members and the nation’s VP, nothing to see here

You got to love the way she quickly pivots to put the blame on the media, the “BlueAnon,” whatever the f*ck that is

And the MAGA Militia swallows it all eagerly

Not if the responses in this thread from our own Right wingers are a guide.

If today's American Reichwingers lived in the 1770s, they would be busy trying to track down and hang all the revolutionaries, including the founding fathers. They are all Tories at heart, wanting to live under the rule of a corrupt orange king.

Well, we know those on the Left certainly don't have a clue about the ideas that founded the United States, only vaguely understand the country's history, and want to "fundamentally transform" it into some completely different than what the founders envisioned...
Yes we did.

The founders believed in legal slavery, they believed only men with property should vote, that women were not smart enough to vote, and they believed only white men should be in charge.

There were a lot of things we had to change from what the founders established.

You just described the democrat party platform to a T.

If you believe that you have to also believe black and women voters aren't smart enough to know which party better represents them since majorities of both favor Democrats.

There is a reason they are leaving the democrat party fender head. Or just not voting.

You said above this is that reason: They "believed in legal slavery, they believed only men with property should vote, that women were not smart enough to vote, and they believed only white men should be in charge."

And you call someone else "fender head".

What I wrote is what they stand for. There is no doubt about that. Just look at them and their platform and policies. And you are a fender head. Obviously a very need person.
