Did they claim McCain was a muslim? Nope. Did they link McCain's father with muslims who had anti-American sentiments? Nope. Did they claim McCain was heavily influenced by his Anti-American muslim father and was schooled in madrassa's with the same sentiments? Nope.

But the "birthers" or "truthers" or whatever they call themselves certainly have had memebers mouth such platitudes without reprimand.

i only happen to catch my name, but i can't read your posts as your font is blue....so i never read them just so happen scrolling up i saw Yurt

my question had nothing to do with people calling him a muslim, your strawman argument is failure. mccain was asked to produce his, but no one called racism, obama is asked to produce his and you guys call racism.....

I have NEVER called for Bush or McCain tro produce their birth certificates and have NEVER once suggested that either one of them might not be American citizens.

there may be some hypocrisy on this subject, but it does not come from ME...that is for certain.

Please. We were able to compare grades between Kerry and Bush, read dissertations. Saw the military records of both of them. Same with McCain.

What do we get with Obama? An executive order making it so that it will take a court order to view historical records that pertain to His Majesty the One.

No records of grades, not even a peek at his original birth certificate (McCain put his out to shut up the critics and it worked.)

Regardless of how this all turns out (IMO it will be disappointing for the Birthers), by acting like he has something to hide he creates the image that he has something to hide.

unfortunately, no matter how many time you make this post and repeat the underlined, they left will dig their heels....it doesn't matter if they said the same about bush, that he was hiding something etc.....they will dig their heels....

this is my first political season with a change of guard, in that, we went from a con to a lib as prez and had the house/senate get a different majority. a good friend told me this:

yurt...take it easy on the left crying hypocrisy over everything the right does....just watch, when obama wins and they pick up more seats they will do the same as that which they are complaining of now...there are far right and far left people that will call it hypocrisy and whatnot as long as the other party holds the power, and when they are in power, they will in turn do the same things and call it good...

i didn't believe him....but since i've been seeing it....has given me much pause
 
what the birthers and their supporters fail to realize is: as long as Obama can keep them carping about this idiotic issue, two things happen:

1. normal folks are turned off by the moronic blathering of the birthers which tends to help Obama in the polls....

and

2. the birthers are focused on this practically counter-productive point for them, and are incapable of applying whatever political clout they might otherwise have to some issue that could actually HURT the president.


It is a win-win for the president...
