Conservatives and Sports

So you are maintaining that you are still correct in what you said because they don't "look" like a freak? LOL

Thats just priceless. Charver is right, you have made yourself look like a silly sausage today.
You're playing with your sausage today? Please, keep it to yourself.

Not at all. It is a nation that was formed years after you claim americans fought against the french.

Now who is using a straw man?
I'm changing tactics, giving it right back at ya. Just like I did after you insulted my family as Solitary. PPfftt....

Staw man and delusional are two very different things.

Nice try at changing the topic. But tell us again how you were talking about americans before america was formed but were not talking about native americans. lol

I'm still waiting little man.

I am still waiting for you to explain how there were americans before America existed and yet you do not include the native americans.

Let me guess, you will claim "strawman" or caricature". lol

YOu said that there were still americans despite the fact that America had not formed a nation yet. And you claimed that the french were our first enemy.

The only way that both of those statements can be true is if you claim to call people americans based on geography rather than nationality and you ignore the native americans.

Otherwise there were no americans at the time of the war you are talking about or the first enemy would have been other indians.

Why do you think it was called the "French and Indian War"? *shrug*

And do you think that was the first war on the north american continent??

In fact, since the indians sided with the french, it would be just as accurate to say that the french were our first ally.

Because the English won the war and got to write the history books. The term French and Indian War came about through British propaganda in an effort to discredit the French in that the French had allied themselves with savage indians who commited attrocities against British subjects. The actual truth is that the British, under the leadership of Sir William Johnson had engaged in alliance with the Iroquis league that was critical to British interest. Without the support of the Iroquis League and their influence the British would have lost the 7 years war in North America and Montecalme would have succeeded in marching down the Hudson river valley.

Goodness, isn't it interesting how threads get hijacked. My original intent was to do some trolling to start a discussion on the Tour de France and now were engaged in a discussion about the Seven Years War with a Francophobe.

Sorry about that.

The odd thing is that i have really got back into the tour this year after falling out of love with it in the 90's due to all that doping bidness. And it's not just because we have, in Mark 'Cav' Cavendish, the best sprinter in the world storming stages in the manner of a young Larry Olivier. Giddy up!

it sucks that lance has lost it.
Twice the people are watching
Wonder if the French are ragging Contador with the same vigor as they hit lance with. Contador is a proven doper.

Is Contador a proven doper?

All i can find is allegations, but no actual convictions. Remarkably similar to the position of Lance Armstrong.
