MAGA Hat Maniac Attacks Police

Hello Dutch,

Trump told them to record everything???

I thought they were simply proud of what they were doing, felt that they (and they alone) were 'saving the country.'

That whatever they 'had to do' had to be done, it was going to be as historic as the Boston Tea Party, and they would go down in history as the 'special ones' who 'saved America' from the 'horrible' liberals, of course. (Naturally, because Tucker Carlson told them liberals were 'destroying America.')

I really feel sorry for them that they became so misled that they did this and now they screwed up their lives.

And even though they fought like hell but still didn't overturn the election, we still have a country. Imagine that!

And not only do we still have a country, but this country is not happy with them at all, and now they are in deep do-do over the whole thing. OOOPS! (homey done messed up big time)

Yes. It's in his Insurrection speech:
We have hundreds of thousands of people here and I just want them to be recognized by the fake news media. Turn your cameras please and show what’s really happening out here because these people are not going to take it any longer. They’re not going to take it any longer. Go ahead. Turn your cameras, please. Would you show? They came from all over the world, actually, but they came from all over our country.

I just really want to see what they do. I just want to see how they covered. I’ve never seen anything like it. But it would be really great if we could be covered fairly by the media. The media is the biggest problem we have as far as I’m concerned, single biggest problem. The fake news and the Big tech.

This explains why the Feds have 14,000 hours of evidence against the Insurrectionists. What they don't have is video of the planners before the Insurrection.

They're fucking morons. 2/3s of those arrested had previous mental health issues. Even the JPP RWNJs weren't stupid enough to actually put skin in the game. True, they are chickenshits as the poll proved, but they are smarter chickenshits than the dumbasses under arrest.

It was very funny that they did all this, and actually thought they had accomplished their purpose, obstructed Congress, kept Biden from being certified as fully elected, got told to go home by Trump, and then after they left, Congress came right back and went right ahead with their task.

After all that, all they managed to do was delay the certification for a few hours. And Biden became president right on time, without one second of delay on Jan 20th. The first president since President Carter to be sworn in without the outgoing president peacefully handing over power in person.

They're fucking morons.

Well of course!

Naturally, Trump wants video coverage of everything else but NOT HIM PLANNING THE INSURRECTION.

And I think Trump was asking the MSM to turn their cameras to show the crowd instead of showing him.

Regardless, Trump set his people up to attack and to record the attack then bailed out on them about the pardons leaving them all to swing in the breeze.

Hey Dutch,

Shows exactly how much he really cares about THEM.

The Qless will never see it just like sheep never see their slaughter coming.

OTOH, the militias are certainly seeing it. I'm extremely curious to see which path the militias choose in light of Trump's betrayal of them.

Militias. What losers. They completely misinterpret the 2nd.

The people can be armed so they can form a well-regulated militia (meaning government regulated) if needed to defend the country from outside invaders. We were never to have a standing army because the big fear was it could be used like police to violate privacy, barge into homes unannounced. Like the British did to the colonists.

We would have no army, and simply let people be armed so they could be gathered into an army if needed to defend the nation from outside aggressors. That was the plan. That was the reason for the second. It was never intended to give the people the right to rise up against the government in an armed insurrection.

We should make some changes to the right to bear arms. It has gotten completely out of hand. The founders never intended to enable mass shootings. Why would they do that? That's dumb.

How do they misinterpret the Second Amendment?

Agreed about the Founders fear of a standing Army and Navy.

Disagreed on the assertion that the Constitution gives us our rights as opposed to limiting the Federal government.

That's not what that means. I wish the FF would have made a few things more idiot-proof.

At the time, (which this dictionary reflects even though it's not super-old) "well-regulated" means "functions as it should" and "in proper working order"; NOT restricted by the government.

They think the 2nd is so that armed citizens can revolt if they feel the government is becoming tyrannical.

That was not the intent of the 2nd.

It was meant to be able to quickly form an army if needed.

I think they are using the Declaration of Independence and some other comments by Thomas Jefferson to justify attacking the Constitution.

Now they must suffer the consequences of their rash actions.

One casualty, an unarmed trump supporter.

Just casually walking around enjoying the view I guess. How can you keep returning to a woman who broke countless laws and threatened our democracy as being innocent? She was a Qanaon Trump supporter. That is the worst kind. Probably like you.

she shouldn't have been trying to jump through the door.

I actually think the officer was was justified.

it was clear they were very serious since congresspeople were in there.

American police attacking American police is not justified under either document.

Hello Dutch,

American police attacking American police is not justified under either document.

Neither is an insurrection. Ours is a nation of laws. There's process. Lying and claiming the process is flawed because they don't like the results is not sufficient reason to break the law and harm others.

TBH, I think most, if not all, of those fucking morons are truly mentally ill. IIRC, 2/3s of those arrested had previously reported mental health issues. However, since our nation has very little medical or legal support for mental health issues, second best is to lock them up in prison.

Improving mental health for inmates
Using a variety of new strategies, psychologists in correctional settings are transforming care for people in prisons and jails

About 37 percent of people in prison have a history of mental health problems, according to a 2017 report from the U.S. Department of Justice. More than 24 percent have been previously diagnosed with major depressive order, 17 percent with bipolar disorder, 13 percent with a personality disorder and 12 percent with post-traumatic stress disorder. The numbers are even higher for people in jail, where one-third have been previously diagnosed with major depressive disorder and almost one-quarter with bipolar disorder.

“We lock up people with mental health problems when we should really be treating these people in the community,” says Fagan. “In the absence of that, prisons and jails become de facto treatment centers.”

Note the difference in numbers between prison and jail. My guess jail is a lot more homeless mentally ill.

That's probably the major way they are identified as requiring help, by breaking the law. Until they do that, they are overlooked.

We aren't exactly sending the correct messages to society with government policy like that.

A government program to identify and treat mental health would probably pay for itself in reduce expenses for police, courts and prisons; plus the added economic activity and revenue from people who, because of poor mental health, are currently unable to work or work full time, and instead get into trouble or cause expense for others and the government. Getting all those people mentally healthy and productive would reduce so many secondary consequences that a government program which could accomplish that would not only pay for itself but actually generate more GDP and lower taxes.

Exactly. Taxpayers are paying, IIRC, about $30K/year for prisoners. Taxpayers earning $30K/year as a productive citizen are the better way to go.

Well here's the rub. Despite the fact that we've got a lot of people locked up, there are a lot more mental cases on the loose. How much would it cost to treat them all before they get into trouble, and how would that get paid for?
