"We keep marrying other species and ethnics " - Fox News Host

Well, most religious people believe in a hateful, vindictive god that is more than willing to let billions of people suffer eternal merciless torture unless they kiss his ass in the right spot, so, such an evil entity would probably be racist too.

ignorance of religion is your forte'.....

No diversion, no straw man, no pretending. You made the false claim that Brian Kilmeade was "purporting" Nazism and "pure race" ideology, and I refuted you with the details of the context in which his comments were made. Since that point, I have listened to each one of you morons who lined up to call me a racist and bring up shit from the past to re-argue again, instead of discussing the thread topic. If anyone is guilty of strawmen and diversion in this thread, it is Cypress, Waterhead, ib1, and you.

LOL, you've got to be joking. "context" and "details". The only thing you've managed to do is roll over and play 1st amendment victim.

He WAS purporting Nazism. He may not have gone so far as to say kill the gypsies and the jews, but his underlying beliefe that a 'PURE' race exists and that humans other different races are such different species is the core of Nazi and other white supremecy beliefs that you have a high tolerance for.

Why do you continually have to go to "the past" to discuss the topic at hand? I don't see any relevance to this discussion. Isn't this just another pinhead tactic to divert the conversation... HEY LADY T, ARE YOU PAYING ATTENTION TO THIS SHIT?? Exactly what you accused me of doing earlier, this nitwit is doing right here and now!

He's merely responding to your attempt at divergence.

My work is done here.

You think oppossing inter racial dating isn't neccessarily racist.

You worship the confederate flag.

You honor the confederacy.

You are curiously, and oddly, intimately familiar with all the nuance and elements of racist arguments against the MLK holiday and against inter racial dating.

That was easy. I barely had to lift a finger, and just let dixie hoist himself on his on petard.

He said nothing about a pure race, and what he said about "species" didn't even make good sense. He wasn't purporting Nazism, the conversation had absolutely nothing to do with Nazism, they were talking about nationalized health care.

I don't have any tolerance for REAL racism, that is why this phony outrage over something that ISN'T racism, pisses me off so much! Do you not understand how much shit like THIS plays into the hands of TRUE racists? Instead of shining our light on them, we are preoccupied with some goofball on TV who probably didn't even understand what he was trying to say. And here you liberals are, instead of standing up against REAL racism in our country, you want to lob shit bombs at the conservative! Because that is how shallow and devoid of principle you people really are.

I agree. They are trying to divert attention from the lousy economy and more jobs losses.

Good! Now maybe you can clean up the honkin turd you worked so hard on?

You think oppossing inter racial dating isn't neccessarily racist.

I've not even mentioned interracial dating! Opposition to interracial marriage can be made on completely non-racist grounds, I've explained how in this thread, and I am sorry you don't understand that, but you sure as hell haven't refuted my points.

You worship the confederate flag.

No, I honor the flag my ancestors died fighting under. Neither of which ever owned a slave or ever knew anyone who did. They weren't racist because half of their blood was Cherokee and African! How the fuck can a MUTT advocate racial purity? I don't get that!

You honor the confederacy.

I honor the concept of states rights!

You are curiously, and oddly, intimately familiar with all the nuance and elements of racist arguments against the MLK holiday and against inter racial dating.

I have not mentioned interracial dating OR the MLK holiday! Why do you continue to lie and claim I've said shit that hasn't been said?

That was easy. I barely had to lift a finger, and just let dixie hoist himself on his on petard.

No, what you did was show what a pathetic nitwit FOOL you are! All you've done is just popped off a bunch of lies and distortions, and attempted to divert the thread a few times. You need to fucking grow the hell up little boy!

So Dixie, what are your thoughts on interracial marrage?

You mean, what is my personal opinion? I have already said, I believe any man and woman should be able to enter into marriage together, regardless of race or religion. (For the retarded, this means I am okay with interracial marriage.)

I am no Biblical expert, and I don't belong to any organized religion, but from what I have read and understand about the Bible, I don't believe God forbids us from intemarrying. So, I don't personally agree with the religious argument against interracial marriage. That said, I am honest enough to recognize those who hold that religious belief are not racist in their view, and are perfectly entitled to their opinion.

Very stright forward and honest... and I happen to agree with you.

So religions cannot be racist becuase it is what they are taught and believe?

I never said that. You are defining something as "racist" that you have not made the case for. YOU see their viewpoint as being racist, therefore, your mind is prejudiced. You assume from that perspective, those who oppose interracial marriage are indeed racist, and fundamentally so. I believe this is a wholly inaccurate assessment based on your prejudiced preconceptions.

As I explained, the 'religious' point of contention with interracial marriage is not regarding racial equality, superiority, or inferiority. While it may inadvertently promote racial purity, that is not the religious objective for contesting intermarriage. From the explanations I have found, it is centered around God's restrictions on mankind's collaborative wisdom, not racial purity.

So the case simply hasn't been made, that a religious viewpoint is racist, based on nothing more than speculative opinions, stereotypes, and political correctness. There is no connection between opposition OR support of interracial marriage and truly racist viewpoints, they are two entirely different issues. They CAN be related, but they aren't necessarily or automatically connected.

For instance, the Amish people... are they racists because they believe in marrying within their own Amish people? What about the Mennonites or Mormons? Are these people RACISTS because of their personal religious beliefs and customs? And what about the black man who marries a white woman because he views her as 'status' ...to make him somehow 'better' than the average black man? Isn't that a racist viewpoint? So we see, even people who are IN an interracial marriage, CAN be racists!

It's absurd to try and connect personal views on interracial marriage and racism, after all, the vast majority of us, are NOT in an interracial relationship... are we all racists? Does choosing a wife of your own race make you racist? Indeed, you have 'discriminated' against black women in choosing a white woman, so does that mean you are racist in your views? Do you not see how fucking silly that is? How you feel about racial equality is not related to how you personally feel about interracial marriage. Being opposed to interracial marriage doesn't make you racist, as I have pointed out, people have all kinds of reasons to oppose things.

God didn't 'instruct' his followers not to intermarry because of racial purity. It was because of (best of my understanding) the Tower of Babel, and God saw mankind had become too wise, so he destroyed this proverbial tower to heaven and cast men out to the four corners of the earth and gave them different languages.

And that there tells us volumes about the God of the Bible. A "God" that had to divide mankind out of fear man would become wiser and more powerful and kick His ass.

The Biblical God was nothing more than an alien. Not all-powerful, just more powerful. But times are changing. Religion and fear and subservience to an alien is swiftly coming to an end.

Mankind is uniting. When "God" shows up He'll have to fix His own frenched rack of lamb. (BTW, that was on the menu celebrating 100 days of the Obama White House.) Quickly seared then gently roasted served with small potatoes fried in olive oil with carrots, parsnips and artichoke hearts. Followed by a mousse or creme brulee it's a meal fit for a God or an alien or even a lowly human being.

When that white horse or whatever is supposed to appear in the sky He better not show up empty handed or us earthlings will give Him the bum's rush!

What was the topic of the thread?

///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

I have not said one thing about opposing the right for anyone to marry anyone. Again, that seems to be the consensus of what you pinheads WANT me to be saying, so you can bash me relentlessly and call me a racist bigot. That is NOT my viewpoint, has never been my viewpoint, and will never be my personal viewpoint. I believe any man and woman should have the right to get married, if they are of legal age. I don't believe that should be restricted to same race, as that would be endorsing a purely religious belief at the expense of other people's civil rights. But purely religious people who oppose interracial marriage on religious grounds, are not necessarily doing so out of a "racist" point of view. Can't you comprehend what I am saying here? IF a person believes their God prohibits them from marrying outside of their race, that is FAR different than believing their race is superior or another race is inferior. It has nothing to do with their feelings in that regard, it is a completely separate issue.

This is all in the old testament, and I am not "arguing" it is the truth, or that this is how everyone who opposed interracial marriage sees it. I don't know those things, I just know what I know. This is a religious belief that has nothing to do with racial equality, superiority, or inferiority. It is a religious mandate that has nothing to do with keeping the race pure! You are ALL trying to twist it into that, and make it "racist" because you want it to be, and that isn't a good reason to call something "racist" that simply isn't.

No, PRACTICE... as in FREE EXERCISE THEREOF!

Not quite, Dixie. Certain religions deny blood transfusions and other medical procedures, however, if the health of a child in the care of a person exercising such religious beliefs is in jeopardy.....well, to hell with their religious beliefs. The government will step in and remove the child and rightly so.

Slowly but surely we are eradicating beliefs and customs dating back to the bronze age.

Well you've torn off in an anti-religion rant for some reason. Maybe you should go back and actually READ the thread, and then respond. There is no "religious" argument going on here... I would love for someone intimately familiar with the Bible to join in and discuss the aspects of why the Bible teaches against intermarriage, because I happen to disagree with that teaching, but we don't have anyone like that around here, you anti-religious nitwits ran them off long ago.

BTW... have you ever seen the conditions lambs are raised in before slaughter? It's pretty effing inhumane, to say the least. I'm not sure I'd be bragging too much about the President having lamb.... especially while the rest of us are eating hamburger helper. But that's just me.... you go ahead and brag all you like, hear?

Yeah, quite pinhead. The Constitution says what it says, and it means what it means. Read what I said, you are giving an example where the "human rights" of another person is in play, and that is a Constitutional right which trumps the right to freely exercise religion, so it is an irrelevant example... or a strawman.

the only "intermarriage" spoken of in the Bible would be between those who believe and those who do not...

2 Corinthians 6
14Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? 15What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?

Well, I'll take a stab at the biblical precept about marriage. In the OT it was forbidden to marry outside of the faith, not race. If a woman became a Jew she could marry a Jew of birth regardless of her ethnicity. The key being she had to become a Jew. The same goes for the NT....
