Eviction moratorium ends

This is tough. I see both sides.
We can't evict all these people who are victims of circumstance and covid hardship and lockdown induced unemployment, on the other hand we can't expect landlords
to pay their banks while collecting no rent. Real property must generate money. At some point they become squatters and not victims. I don't know that exact point.
It's probably when they could get a job and aren't doing it.

I'm glad it's not my decision.

OTOH, why are the people unable to pay rent? Aren't there jobs? Single moms with no one to sit their kid? I don't believe in just giving people money but I do believe tax dollars should be invested to promote the general Welfare such as job training programs or increasing accessibility to public transportation. Evicting families into the streets isn't good for anyone.

That's a good choice too. Electrical work is actually challenging. You never get the same thing to do day to day, particularly if you do commercial and industrial work. Lots of problem solving on the fly. It's the guys that won't learn the math and study stuff like code and system design that end up in a rut of just being skilled assistants doing what they're told.
I do know Ohms law, and a bit abut power supplies and filters

This one is important for power factor correction when working with companies that do a lot of welding or electroplating

Sounds like a great idea. Do the economics support it?

Me too. A parallel stream distinct, but not far from, the mainstream. We moved once a year and that often resulted in changing schools once a year. A different perspective that wasn't the norm.

I do not know about the economics.

The standout for me is that a lot of companies are finding that when their white collar professionals reach a certain level of income, just giving them more money is not an incentive to perform better. Well paid employees want to be allowed to be creative and autonomous at work. Google instituted a policy where two days a months their professional staff could work on anything they wanted, explore any ideas they had for the company, indulge their creative side, act with complete independence, anything they wanted if they thought it could help the company.

PS, my extended family were old school. Immigrants from the old country, having survived revolutions, gulags, japanese and German occupations, communist oppression. People like that tended to have perspective and were not impressed with fancy car collections or gold-plated Trump toilets. Ostentatious display and inordinate consumerism was just considered bad taste, perhaps even morally flawed.

I like the Google creativity plan.

Speaking of creativity, I took this Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, a personality test. It breaks out 16 personalities with a standard test used since 1962. https://www.16personalities.com/

The results are explained and can be emailed or shared on social media. It took about 10 minutes or less.

My extended family were military. Vietnam was a big thing all while I was growing up. I was friends who a kid on base whose father, a Colonel, was killed when his huey was shot down. The Army gave them 30 days to move off base.

BTW, the mustard came. Cleared up my sinuses right away!

groovy

Career military professionals generally don't strike me as the ostentatious types.

That mustard packs a powerful punch!

Agreed.

True! I also bought some angus hamburger patties and will use it on pickles, mustard and onion burgers sometime this week. I've only used it on fries so far.

"SHUT UP AND DIE" as been the message to the Little People from the Failed Intelligentsia for some number of years....it was one of the top drivers of votes for Trump.

Trump: "I am not one of THEM!".

But it is actual work.

So many people are allergic to that these days.

Oh quit being a fucking jerk. Poor people work harder and longer. Famers work very hard. People in trades work hard. But they do not control the available work. The immigrants that pick your food work harder than you ever could.
Why do rightys enjoy slamming regular people.? The average fast-food worker is 27. https://www.zippia.com/fast-food-worker-jobs/demographics/ That is one of rightys favorite groups to insult

Fascinating. Our resident drop outs think that education is elitist and worthless. The stank of resentment and jealousy makes my eyes water.

And scientists are to be believed ...

^^ This, United States, is what your people look like in 2021. ^^

They will not believe science. They do not believe math. They unraveled 300 years of human advancement in a blink. Unfuckingbelievable.
