It’s a fact, that the Portland CHOP was a *textbook* insurrection.

In contrast, the 1/6 rioters were trying to stop or delay a specific act of government. In fact, most of the charges are just that—‘obstructing an official proceeding’. There’s no evidence that they were out to overthrow or supplant the existing government with their own. Like Antifa/BLM did in Portland.

IOW, applying the term ‘insurrection’ to 1/6 is empty rhetoric until some individuals are charged at least with sedition.

Anyone want to explore the idea that they would have if the races were reversed?

Other brought up how the response would be different if babbit was black. Even Senator Johnson suggested that BLM would have automatically increased the threat. Perhaps more weren't shot not because of the law but because of a perceived lack of threat based on race.

Not saying I agree with the theory but since it was mentioned earlier...
