"Health care professional" always seems to be a little too ornate to mean anything substantial. "Head of Records", "Operating Room supervisor". Those titles are specific enough to me a "professional". Claiming to be a "health care professional" brings to mind someone who uses a bucket and a mop as part of their duties. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Honest work is a good thing.
I use the term because he tried to provide himself an aura of authority in medical matters but was studiously cryptic about exactly how.
