Evidence of what happened. There is no context you can put around "beating a cop with a hockey stick" that puts it in a better light.

The video showed snippets of what actually happened that day, and what was actually said. No one put anything fabricated in there.

There is no whataboutism that can save this situation for Trump. It's very obvious to non-apologists what happened, and what Trump's role in that was.

No, I should be asking why Donald J. Trump did absolutely nothing to stop it. By the time the National Guard was mobilized (by Mike Pence, not Trump) the riot was over. Once help was requested, THE APPROVAL TOOK AN HOUR. The guard arrived less than an hour after the riot was over. Trump told the rioters he loved them. He told them Mike Pence had failed them. He told them never to forget the day. He enjoyed what happened.

Why do you feel the need to lie in service of your Dear Leader? Does Putin not pay you if you tell the truth?

TRUMP DID NOTHING. Stop moving the goalposts. This isn't complicated. It's simple. Trump could have mobilized the guard. He chose not to. He could have strongly and forcefully told the rioters to stop under penalty of arrest. He chose not to. He could have accepted the result of the election. He chose not to. There is nothing complicated about it.

Well, except that the right yelled all summer about how Dems - even though they condemned the riots - did not do so forcefully enough. But those same people on the right have no issue at all with Trump saying "we love you" to the 1/6 rioters.
