"Democrats seizing on a string of controversies surrounding Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) hope to make her the face of the GOP in the 2022 midterms."

"Democrats think the controversies surrounding Greene and a few other Republicans, from fellow first-term Rep. Lauren Boebert (Colo.) to Arizona firebrand Reps. Andy Biggs (Ariz.) and Paul Gosar (Ariz.), could make the GOP toxic with the suburban voters who increasingly have turned away from Republicans in the Trump era."

"House Democrats are looking to force a vote on Greene’s expulsion, which would force Republicans to take a position on her."

"Former President Trump, still the de facto leader of the GOP, has been adding fuel to the fire, calling Greene last week to encourage her and setting up a meeting with her later this week. Trump never condemned QAnon, part of his long-running refusal to condemn his extremist supporters."

"Republican leaders know they have a problem."

AOC and the others may be an easy sell with the right base, but doesn't compare to supporting a Congresswomen who echoes OAnon conspiracies and thinks the Pentagon wasn't hit by a airplane on 9/11 and questions school shootings, it certainly ain't going to go over big with moderates, swing voters, women and suburbanites who Trump costs the GOP in 2020

Can bet there are going to be a lot of GOP Congressmen and Senators who are going to do their best to make sure they don't ever appear in any photos or videos with Representative Greene

Actually it's the GOP who's FACE is in Marjorie Taylor Greene

Greene is PERFECT!
Praise Jesus and Thank God, we have the perfect image of the Republicans now that Trump has faded from the scene.

Only problem is AOC doesn’t turn off moderates, swing voters, women and suburbanites, all who Trump costs the GOP in 2020, and Greene certainly isn’t going to get them back

What do you mean by she doesn’t turn them off? What are the measuring sticks for if she does or doesn’t?

Democrats didn’t lose the House in spite of all the “socialist, “ “Green Deal” tags the GOP applied to Democrats

And think about it, who is going to turn offsuburban women faster, AOC with her progressive platform or Greene denying school shootings and antagonizing kids associated with school shootings

Yep, I don't see how any of this will help the gop.

trump is only interested in what benefits him...

We'll see if Mitch can stop him

You lost House seats in an election where Democrats won the Senate and the Presidency. Sure, you can say Biden's the face of the party because he's the President. But we all know the reality, he's a 78 year old place holder. He was elected because people were tired of Trump and wanted a return to "normalcy". It's not like Biden ran on some platform to transform America or is the future of the party.

AOC is the future of the Bernie wing of the party. She's not even really comparable to this Greene woman. Greene is a crackpot. AOC has actual support and is viewed as a progressive leader in certain circles. There is backing among Democrats for her vision of American; Green New Deal, Medicare For All etc.

Ther reds had a serious talking to with her and surprise, she does not really believe all the things she said. Well, she was taught to quit telling what she believes. The Repub hypocrisy is the ticket. Just lie about it and keep lying and it will go away. Trump proved the efficacy of that.

Mainly agree. There is zero comparison between AOC and MTG. AOC's views are consistent w/ the left-wing of the party, and certainly to the left of most Americans - but they're just political views. MTG's views, at least some of them, are detached from reality.

I don't think it's accurate to make AOC the face of the party. She's the face of one aspect of the party - but not the mainstream of the party.

MGT is more accurately the face of the GOP, at least for now. Trump is aligned with her, and as long as it's Trump's party, that's part of the baggage.

This is a pretty good assessment.

she does have a certain appeal to that section of the demmycrats that want to embrace communism.......a growing segment of the left......

'Communism' has died. 'Global Capitalism' is what the World has embraced.
