Proof machines were manipulated in our elections

Maybe you are not aware of Richard Clarkes book. You know the one written by the top counter terror guy at the time of 911?

The voting machines worked as advertised...This is how the votes were manipulated....

Many of the voters, it seems, had no idea that their votes were manipulated after they'd left the touch-screen voting machine. While the Early Voting scheme involved finding voters who might wish to be paid to have their vote cast a certain way, the Election Day scheme, carried out in primary and general elections in at least 2004 and 2006, was accomplished by taking advantage of a "feature" on all DRE (usually touch-screen) voting systems and "voter unfamiliarity with new voting machines."

Essentially, they tricked voters into leaving the 'booth' after pressing the "Vote" button on the ES&S iVotronic. That button, does not actually cast the vote, as one might think (and as these voters were told), but instead, it brings up a review screen of the voter's "ballot."

Instructing the voters that they were done, the conspirators then, after the voter had left, would change the voters' votes as they saw fit, before finally pressing the "Cast Ballot" button.

\So...there was no problem were the machines themselves..only with idiot users...

Most electronic voting isn't secure, CIA expert says

By Greg Gordon * McClatchy Newspapers
WASHINGTON — The CIA, which has been monitoring foreign countries' use of electronic voting systems, has reported apparent vote-rigging schemes in Venezuela, Macedonia and Ukraine and a raft of concerns about the machines' vulnerability to tampering.

Appearing last month before a U.S. Election Assistance Commission field hearing in Orlando, Fla., a CIA cybersecurity expert suggested that Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and his allies fixed a 2004 election recount, an assertion that could further roil U.S. relations with the Latin leader.

Why would Gore have gone into Iraq?

LOL, why would he have not? I respect Al Gore Jr. for a lot of reasons but I don't operate under the delusion that he's some sort of all knowing, omnipotent, super politician able to avoid the mistakes of all other politicians in a single bound either.

Just out of curiosity are you perhaps trying to model some sort of alternate reality here or something ? From your posts it certainly sounds like it.

Yes I'm aware of it and Maybe you are not aware of Dr. Suess's book . You know the one written by a childrens book author where that bastage Horton heard (if you can believe this) a WHO !

Sadly the literary critics have apparently declared that both these master works have nothing to do with election fraud.

Because he was against the idea from the very begining and Bush fixed the intell to take us there.

You dont follow a thought very well do you?

Wait, you're the one that seems to like to change the subject every other post and I don't follow a thought very well ?

With all due respect, it appears that attempting a rational conversation with you is pointless, hopefully it's just because you're having a bad day or something (if so I hope you have a GREAT weekend ! ) :)

You avoid facts you cant overcome like the plague

Avoid facts huh, you mean like offering up allegations as "proof", when that gets thoroughly destroyed, attempting to spin fanciful "what if" tales about alternate realities and when that gets debunked, resorting to childish name calling and posting up a bunch of links to opinion columns written by other people because you can't articulate your own arguements in anything approaching a rational fashion? is that the kind of "avoiding facts" you're referring to ?

Yeah I'm the "toast" alright.

The very next time I vote in Venezuela, Macedonia or the Ukraine, I'll be on the lookout for funny business....

and speaking of not following a thought very well....I just explained how THIS ISSUE in KY. happened....the machines work just great, no one broke into them, on one hacked them.....mo one tampered with the electronic counts....

As one who spends too much time on this board you get to learn most peoples postions and beliefs pretty well. That is the case with Desh as she has made this argument multiple times in the past. Thus my comment "Desh speak" is just a phrase for being able to read between the lines for what she really means.

And no my above translation is not a joke. That is what she is referring to.

Edit: I'm sorry I didn't even realize I was doing it. Evince's former screen name was Desh so I have always been in the habit of referring to her as Desh. So "Desh speak" = "Evince Speak".

Funny you should say this. Yes, I agree with you completely, which is one reason I was totally flabbergasted when I read the OP of your thread on the four Oakland Police officers that were murdered earlier this week. I have not gone back to that thread, but, I am still not certain you were joking.

Yeah, I was drunk when I posted that. Unfortunately I'm not smart enough to not post while drunk.

The fourth officer who died of brain injuries was a friend of mine. They had a big service today for all the officers in Oakland. Really sad. He was a great guy.

I am sorry for the loss of your friend. I have not heard much about the story here in Tampa. Just a short blurb on the news the day it happened. I understand the cop killer was accused of rape of a 12 year old. The whole story is a tragedy.

PS what I have picked up about the story has come off of the net and videos of the Uhuru march, so I don't know a lot about what happened.
