Not only that, but the rest of it are details that Trump and staff agreed to and which are necessary for the continued running of the government. Since McConnell sat on stuff all year, it had to be crammed into one ginormous bill.

Which raises the question - why did losing change his mind? Who knows, but one possibility is that he’s declaring war on Mitch McConnell and his
GOP allies for their failure to join his doomed cause and has decided to try to muck up everything they are for. Let’s hope this includes his current if tepid support for the Georgia Republican Senate candidates. Trump has just a few days left to drop that hammer. Maybe he will.

That's what I think it is. He changed his stance as one final middle finger to Moscow Mitch.
Thankfully, the Democrats were mature enough to take it. They could have been petty dicks and sided against Trump.

You have the right wing "I believe: problem. Trump was not involved in the negotiations. No input. He just golfed away. Then after the Dems fought Mcconnel to get 600 on the bill, Trump stops it cold. The amount they got ..zero. They also have lost unemployment and other help for the people. The 600 was small, due to rightys. Trump has ended any help. Oh yeah, he is golfing every day.

Who do you think makes out the budget requests? His threats are only because of certain items--he knows the spending bill will have to eventually pass. And aid to Pakistan is over $684 million.
