bullshit, boy. if the infection rate is low, like it was here from february to the end of March, just wearing masks and social distancing keeps it low, even makes it lower!! you don't need lockdowns and shutdowns if people mask up and the infection rate is 1% or lower!! at one time, there were only about 20 cases in this country...remember this?

now you are just basically repeating what I said, stupid. masks and social distancing DO WORK...it is science. it works. not 100% but pretty close. if the infected and the uninfected both wear masks, and are not confined in close quarters for more than 15 minutes or so, there is almost no chance of spread. period.

bullshit. right now most restaurants are failing because PEOPLE DO NOT WANT TO DIE OR GET SICK, not because of regulations. try to think, stupid shit. the only way to get back to normal in a reasonable amount of time is to have a 2-3 week shutdown of most public businesses, since the infection generally takes a couple of weeks to run its course, and then slowly let everything open back up when the infection rate goes way down.

It’s highly unlikely the virus somehow managed to ‘not get here’ until February or even December, when it was in WuHan as early as November and immigration from China was running wide open.
I’m tempted to say it’s impossible that it wasn’t in this country no later than early January. Exactly a year ago, the virus was already spreading in our population totally under the radar because no one was looking for it.
Both the WHO and China were saying there was no human to human transmission, remember?
And yes, people were likely dying from it [or with it] but it was misdiagnosed or simply not diagnosed at all. Under normal circumstances, nursing home residents that die of pneumonia aren’t necessarily diagnosed with a specific virus beyond ‘viral pneumonia’ as cause of death. If it’s not flu A or B or adenovirus they just put ‘viral pneumonia’ on the death certificate.
What it boils down to is Trump couldn’t save us. We would still be where we are at today, because the virus was already sufficiently established in our population that it was all a matter of ‘tick-tock’ by the time anyone was aware of it.
Virus gonna virus after that. If you don’t believe me, watch Biden’s impotence at changing anything—assuming he’s not rescued by the Trump vaccine.

I’m really skeptical about masks lol.
Mostly because they don’t seem to be working. I suspect it’s due to aerosol transmission. Masks are basically transparent to aerosols and air/aerosols just leak around the sides. In my mind, unless you’re wearing an N-95 you can wear nothing at all and have the same degree of safety.
Here in WV it’s to the point you can’t enter a place without one and our compliance has to be 90% or better, been that way for 6-8 weeks—and our numbers just keep climbing.
Go figure.

They've been opened/closed here in PA. When open, they were as crowded as allowed. When closed, the take-out lines were long.
Some never had take-out, but do now in the attempt to stay in business. The people here are trying our best to keep them afloat.
The ones hurting the most are the ones who don't deliver, and especially our volunteer fire companies who rely on the social rooms
and bars to keep their bills paid. Fucking Chinese. We all know Biden will kiss their ass. Maybe send them cash like Obama did Iran?

What’s all but forgotten is that respiratory viruses have more than one mode of transmission. They don’t need to float into the airway, they can be transmitted just as easily from touching contaminated objects—like a face mask lol.
I see this everywhere I go: people fiddling with their faces masks. I do it myself all the time and often without thinking. Damn things fog my readers up when I’m trying to read a label or whatever and as soon as my glasses fog up—down it goes.
I would not be the least bit surprised if at some future point they decide that masks only served to exacerbate the spread. Wouldn’t surprise me in the least.
100% certain that the preceding law would override it if it came to that - alleged wider public good - but if 70% actually WANT to be vaccinated, it may never be an issue.
