I agree that it's the law of the land and I abide by it without revering it.
More modern democracies, however, generate better standards of living, and I'm in favor of exploring a more modern way.
America is a socially regressive nation, and Middle America is the anchor holding us back.

Most of Western Europe feels more like home to a progressive American than does Middle America which is essentially the wilderness, now featuring indoor plumbing [in most places] for your comfort.

I'd like Middle America much better as a neighbor and trading partner that didn't participate in making our laws and tax codes.

It's in character for Trump to claim he won the election whether he had won or lost it, and it's in character for his supporters to echo whatever he claims to be true. Trump told his rally crowd in Georgia that he won every battleground state, and the crowd cheered its agreement. Weak minds are the feeding ground for a usurper, even it turns out in a free country, even it turns out when the usurper is an empty intellectual vessel like Trump.
