Why? Percentage of GDP and national budget are irrelevant when we're discussing actual defense expenditures in terms of the total dollar amount.

We're third in population, true, but totally and wildly dwarfed by China and India.
We spend more on military spending than both of them combined plus the next eight countries in military spending.
That's what we need to know.

Is it reasonable for a large corporation to spend $5000 a month on security for their headquarters and manufacturing facility? IMO, yes.

Now the hard question: Is it reasonable to complain that the corporation is spending too much money on security per month when you only spent $1000 total for your household security? No, it's not. It's stupid because there is a vast difference in physical values involved.

Now read the Preamble to the Constitution and notice what is specifically laid out in it:

Did Cinnabar betray her oath to the Constitution like you are proposing? Do you still abide by your oath or do you consider that over and done? In the past?

I'm not in agreement with your premise, nor do I worship a once progressive but now dreadfully obsolete document like our constitution.
It's what we've got for now, and a new constitutional convention that included red state representation would clearly arrive at something worse.
That's why I'm a blue state separatist.
