Let's do the math on this one. You were born in 1955. The last man was drafted in the USA on December 1972, when you were 17. There were few drafted in 1972, so they only drafted men born in 1952. None of the men drafted in 1972 were sent to Vietnam.

There was a guy who claimed to be born in 1947, and have been a newly minted Marine Lieutenant in Florida during the Bay of Pig Invasion.
