Bias at MSNBC? Not them, never...

... Yeah, right. Okay, I get it. The employees and on air personalities over at MSNBC hate Republicans, Republican politicians in particular. But is it necessary for them to be so blatant about it?

Just after Olbermann's introduction of Bobby Jindal's response to Obama's speech this evening, there is a pause and either Chris Matthews or Olbermann can be heard groaning, "Oh God..."

This is, at the very least, one of the most unprofessional displays of journalism I have seen. On the upside, MSNBC's ratings are so low, not many folks were witness to this display.

HAHAHA

PWNed

Jindal seriously was giving the speech like he was talking to school children. He sucks at it and should stop.

It definitely wasn't his best effort. Perhaps his speaking style was deliberate? Perhaps he was merely trying to reach those who favor living in a nanny state?

That being said, there was no reason for that display of disrespect.

Olbermann, the ass licking lapdog of the democratic party. Between him, Matthews and the other twat, they got quite an ass licking bunch.

It wasn't his best moment. However the disrespect displayed by our liberal media elite towards republicans is accepted and as with certain unnamed idiots in this thread, even applauded.

The gist of what Jindal said was a solid conservative message and he was after all speaking to a conservative minded audience. Imagine the mockery if Palin had been selected.

It might have been Matthews involuntarily jizzing in his pants over the imagined manly scent of Jindal.

"This is, at the very least, one of the most unprofessional displays of journalism I have seen"

That seems kind of extreme.

It was definitely a slip, and I think it had to do w/ the way he walked into the room, which was kind of unusual for an opposition party response.

As a side note, I know I'm biased, but Jindal's response was extremely weak. I hadn't really heard him speak before, and was expecting quite a bit more from the hype around him.

Republicans and Conservatives need to understand.

the mainstream media has become our enemy.

We need to get this message out to the kids who watch them.

Everyone needs to understand that the media is no longer about information.

There was a time that the news was a public service and meant to convey information only.

Those days are long gone. News is big business. The more we watch the news the more money they make. And how do they get us to watch the news? By scaring us. That is why we see the worst minutae broadcast worldwide. That is why we get news stories making extremely minimal risks sound like threats to the population.

I saw the speech last night. I really hope the Republicans will nominate him, or at least put him up for VP. The guy is terrable. Singsongy with a condesending tone.

Singsongy and condescending..

you just described my thinking of how Obama speaks..

add preachy, arrogant, dishonest, shallow to it and there you have it all.

I think this sentiment pretty much nails it:

If it sounds like Jindal is targeting his speech to a room full of fourth graders, that's because he is. They might be the next people to actually vote for Republicans again.

Win.

That "ohhh my god" was nuthing. It could be that the guy was in awe. You are just projecting what you wish the guy ment with his ohhh my god.

I watched both speeches last night and let me tell you this, my president is a speaker. Obama's speech was great. I almost stood up and cheered a couple of times. Some of the things he said I agreed with wholeheartedly and others I didn't agree with. It was the same, in that respect anyway, as any other political speech. But he delivered it with dynamic and had the crowd (those controlling congress) on his side. Then I watched a fishing show during the break between his speech and Jindal's. Jindal's speech was exactly the republican talking points. America can do anything...blah, blah...I was born a poor black (well, Indian) child.....blah, blah.....socialism (not sure if I actually heard the word) is bad......blah, blah....we can do it. That speech probably appealed to republicans but not to your typical mainstream voter. It might but it definitely lacked the dynamics. I like Jindal and appreciate what he is trying to accomplish in Louisana. I like a lot of what he stands for. But if the republicans can't find anyone better to speak for them they are even more doomed now than before the last election.

All that said, Olberman and Madcow and Matthews are nuts and shouldn't be talking about politics in the kind of situation that took place last night. I watch MSNBC a lot especially to see how partisan they will be. Same way with FOX. I also watched CBS throughout the evening as well. Want to know who appeared to be more biased? It was a "no contest" in that regard. Watching those three stooges slobber over Obama and trash Jindal was absolutely gross. You might as well have Hannity and Rush doing the post commentary for another station.
