Bias at MSNBC? Not them, never...

True. Maybe he has an "h" fetish like the Brits with the "u" and occasional "o"...

I prefer the Brit spelling and pronunciation of aluminIum.

It's rare that those cheeky bastards throw an "i" in a word when you weren't looking, but when they do it they do it well.

"This is, at the very least, one of the most unprofessional displays of journalism I have seen"

That seems kind of extreme.

You're probably right. After some consideration, Hannity is just as big a schmuck.

It was definitely a slip, and I think it had to do w/ the way he walked into the room, which was kind of unusual for an opposition party response.

You know, you're right. Usually they're already standing or sitting in a position

As a side note, I know I'm biased, but Jindal's response was extremely weak. I hadn't really heard him speak before, and was expecting quite a bit more from the hype around him.

As I said, last night was not Jindal's best work. He is a much better speaker than what we saw in the response.

Obama may not be as great a communicator as Reagan, but he is a great orator at least, and does well in arguments (even if all he says are bland meaningless platitudes). Jindal sounded like he was giving a speech to children. It was such an odd way to give a speech, a gee-golly way. If he has presidential ambitions, he needs to learn how to give a decent speech at least.

But if all that's going to be thrown at us in 2012 is Jindal and Palin like they are right now, we can all breathe a big breath of fresh air.

Run Romney in 2012, Republicans. That will be a match.

... Yeah, right. Okay, I get it. The employees and on air personalities over at MSNBC hate Republicans, Republican politicians in particular. But is it necessary for them to be so blatant about it?

Just after Olbermann's introduction of Bobby Jindal's response to Obama's speech this evening, there is a pause and either Chris Matthews or Olbermann can be heard groaning, "Oh God..."

This is, at the very least, one of the most unprofessional displays of journalism I have seen. On the upside, MSNBC's ratings are so low, not many folks were witness to this display.

That's it?

That's what you all have your panties in a was about? Have you ever watched Faux News? They make a living from lying and ad hominen attacks and ya'll are carrying on like a nun about to be de-flowered cause Matthews mumbled "Oh God". You don't even know if that was even directed at Jindal.

Don't like Fox either, Mott. And I'd hardly describe my reaction or commentary as "carrying on like a nun about to be de-flowered." I guess I just grew up in a time when journalists were journalists. They kept their bias in check. In many ways, perhaps unrealistically so, I expect and hope that journalists today will adhere to the same standards. Call me an optimist.

Only the snobs give a hoot about whether some slick politician(like Obama) is a great orator.

Real America just want people who speak to them, not just preach to them from a teleprompter and say absolutly NOTHING..

You don't speak for real America.

The job of President is a very public job, and a huge part of it is persuasion & being able to coherently present the gov't's plans to the public, as well as meeting with foreign dignitaries & a variety of other functions which require competence w/ the spoken word. For similar corporate jobs, public speaking is vital, and candidates are not considered if they do not possess those skills.

I know you'd like to believe that it's okay to have someone like Bush in an office like that, but the bottom line is that his lack of communication skills hurt both America & his own admin's plans much more than anyone would care to admit.

Sorry dear, but I do speak for Real America because I am one..
And you think it's ok to have some slick politician like Obama in the Presidency to fool the American people with such ease it's scary.

"Sorry dear, but I do speak for Real America because I am one."

And I'm not?

You seem to want to believe that the majority of Americans are not "real," or that they are stupid & deluded.

Obama won fair & square. Try to adjust.

Olbermann is a tool... this should shock no one.

Well I guess I am a bit guilty of hyperbole here. Personally...I don't watch either Fox or MSNBC and pretty much for the reasons you stated above.

These day's I try to get my news, unfiltered, off the net.

Olbermann is such leftist liberal whiny trash, i'm not surprised at this. I hope Olbermann goes that extra step left and jumps off the bridge to his death.

Jindal is better than this performance showed.

He is bright and very charming.

He froze and I think he felt unsure about the message he was picked to deliver.

I bet he makes up for this one down the line.

The R party better give this guy a second look and stop trying to be the party of NOPE.
