Well, I think it may be to suggest that this abortion clinic did a bad thing and that the people who did it should be prosecuted. If you note, he didn't post about them doing legal abortions, probably because it would be boring and not news. The idea that he is equating the two is a bit far-fetched. If he really felt that this was the same as legal abortion we'd have a post a day about abortion clinics performing abortions.

What is the point of posting news stories at all?

I think he's suggesting that this is a regular practice at these clinics. Maybe you don't know Dano, let me introduce you two. Damo, this is Dano, he's a right wingnut who has never heard a wingnut conspiracy he hasn't swallowed hook line and sinker. Dano, this is Damo, who suffers from amnesia.

No, I think he is suggesting that this clinic did a bad thing.

Your attempt to equate the two in his mind for him would be equivalent to me suggesting you thought that all High Schools were responsible for the actions of Klebold and Harris because you posted a story about them (not saying you did, just giving another fitting analogy). It just doesn't pass muster. He posted this one because it is news. A baby was thrown into the trash.

Why do you insist on switching the subject? At least 95% of Americans would be disturbed at hearing this news, and we're not crazy or stupid for feeling that way.
 
a) .. IF this is true as told, it's an anomaly, not something that happens all the time at these clinics. IF a crime was committed, people should be prosecuted.

b) .. Is there anyone who believes that Williams is capable of good parenting .. and if not, why would you be arguing against her choice to terminate a child she obviously did not want and couldn't properly care for?

c) .. Right-wingers don't give a fuck about Williams or her child .. this is indoctrinated ideology .. pure and simple.

It doesn't bother me in the least. I just shrug it off. Kinda like you do when you hear about a bunch of kids in Iraq of Afghanistan, or a bunch of toddlers in Gaza, getting exploded by our bombs. If you wanna make an omelet you gotta break a few eggs you know? Shrug.

I just raised it because it shocked me, I am undecided when it comes to abortion and don't believe either side can ever be 100% in the right.

I don't have too much sympathy for the mother based on her history, but I do care for how this baby was treated, I know she probably wouldn't have lived long but it hurts you on a human level to see a life treated like that - even a guy like myself that isn't very emotional.

In this case, I would question whether the baby was saveable. 22 weeks is VERY premature. There might be a very slim chance if the birth had taken place in a hospital with a quality neonatal unit standing by. But not at a clinic with no Dr present.

But the way this was handled is abhorrent. To bag a living baby like it was trash is horrible.

I also think that this is not indicative of most modern abortion clinics.

I disagree. There is a huge difference in taking an innocent life and putting someone like a bundy or dahmer to death.
