I think that could go either way but it is interesting to see Texas turn purple.
Kalifornia refugees or not, the "blue" in Texas is from the cities. Houston being the main culprit, but also the DFW metroplex. Texas may go "blue" for the election since it's a binary choice, but I doubt it'll be trading in it's Republican state and federal officials for Democrats any time soon.

In 2018, Cruz was only able to get 50.9% of the vote in Texas. When Republicans can barely win Texas, that is a shift.
