Texas!

trump will probably win Texas, but to give you an idea of how bad off the Republicans are, he might not. It is going to be close. Yes, solid red Texas is being lost.

In 2018, Cruz could only get 50.9% of the vote in Texas.

In 2016, the polls had Hillary winning in a landslide. When the election occurred, she got her ass kicked.

Hello Jarod,

TEXAS
Biden 48% (+3)
Trump 45%

That would be the BOMB!

If rejection of Trump causes Texas to finally flip blue.

It couldn't actually be called a feather in his cap.

More like something else inserted somewhere else.

Ever since the shellacking they took in 2018, they just haven't been the same, have they?

Same said about the Democrats in 2010 and 2016. Especially 2016 since so many of them are still whining about it. ;)

I doubt it would happen, but it would be awesome.

Do you understand how chance works? Do you understand percent? Do you understand odds? Is it possible that something that only had a 10% chance can happen?

Yes, it’s possible.

New York Times...”Hillary has a 91% chance of winning the presidency.“

Trump had a 9% chance and he won.

Exactly... 9% almost 1 in 10. How many elections have we had?

Got it. Until they lose it it doesn't really matter though does it?

It does mean that Republicans have to pour huge amounts of resources into what used to be a safe state. When Texas is a battleground state, it means that Republicans have less to spend on Florida.

Same said about the Democrats in 2010 and 2016.

Obama won in 2012, and in 2012 the Democrats expanded their House majority by 8 seats, and expanded their Senate majority by 2 seats.

Do you realistically see the GOP increasing their Senate majority or even cutting into the Democrats' House majority this cycle?

30 seats Trump won in 2016 are up for grabs in 2020

Only need to flip 17 for GOP to take majority

Unlike 2018, Trump will be on the ballot in 2020

No. Why do you think I would?

Because you said that people were feeling the same apathy Conservatives project today about Democrats after 2010 and 2016...

After both elections, the next election cycle saw Democratic gains (2012, 2018).

My point is that since the shellacking they took in 2018, I haven't really felt Conservative sincerity or confidence. I think they know they're in for another blue wave election this cycle.

A SCOTUS fight during early voting will be a gift to Democrats, not Republicans, based on what happened in 2018.

You have a bad habit of reading things into what others say. One term for this is "projection". If a person sees evil wherever they go, it's likely they think they are evil. If a person sees liars wherever they go, it's likely they are liars. You see political extremists wherever you so, so you continually see it in others. That's a false view, son. Get a grip.

Or you're just a sophist (having already exercised sophistry on this thread) who doesn't want to admit to it.

Your "centrism" is extremism.

You are personally out of step with the majority of people on many subjects such as Medicare For All (63% support), the Green New Deal (69% support), and Gun Control (92% support).

How would you characterize yourself in your opposition to widely popular ideas and programs? I would consider you an extremist on those issues because your view is not shared by an overwhelming majority of people. But mine are.

So maybe when you call people extremists, that's actually you projecting your own extremism that you've convinced yourself is moderation or centrism. But it's not. Not even close.
