A huge amount of former farm land is no longer farm land. The folk living on it either moved on, or died. The Dust Bowl seems like the most recent American example, but there was also massive depopulation in farming areas in the 1980's. Archaeologist can now test DNA, and a lot of ancient bones have no descendants, there are whole groups of people who just did not survive.

Right now, trump voters are not surviving. They are dying in greater numbers than they are being replaced. Their life expectancy is falling. And these are the good times.

trump voters are not even farmers. Or at least most of them are not. Rural, uneducated, unemployed people are not better at surviving.

Well, I found a list of Ohio counties by per capita wealth. There are 68 counties with below Ohio average of wealth. They are all white majority, and all but three 94-99% white. They are all very rural. They are all highly dependent on government handouts. None include any of the big cities of Ohio. All but two voted overwhelmingly for trump.

The counties containing cities are doing quite well. The cities themselves are doing well. It is the rural white counties that are the train wrecks.

Lets say the Alt Right crazies are able to destroy the cities, will they be able to replace them? I don't think so.

Just a side note, productivity by my definition does not include crystal meth. You guys are very productive in that one narrow field. That (along with the opioid epidemic) is part of the reason trump voters are so unproductive.

Mold in theory can make penicillin, but you need just the right mold, and it is a difficult process to get the penicillin. So basically, if society collapsed, he would die quickly.

If he's insulin-dependent, you are right. Even those with diabetes who take oral medications would be up shit creek w/o access to them if there was a collapse of civilization.
