"61" is just a microcosm of what Trump, Fox and many on the right were doing for months in the beginning: downplaying the virus. Making is seem like nothing or a "dud," or even a hoax.
Imagine if we had an "all hands on deck" approach from the start, and took this virus seriously. We don't even have to talk about the lives lost - it can just be the economy if that's easier. We'd be in a much better place.
It's impossible to calculate how much the politicizing of COVID hurt us - how much the failure to take it seriously set us back.
I did not make any predictions on Trump's impeachment or the Russia investigation. I entertained the possibility it would not result in criminal charges or removal from office.
Americans voted for Hillary, as national polls predicted. I do not think I even posted here during the 2016 election.
More importantly, none of my predictions involved death and suffering, Mr. Only 61 Deaths. If we had followed your opinion - totally ignored the risk, downplayed it, no face masks, assumed it's no worse than the common cold - we might be at half a million deaths by now

A whollllllllllllle lot of people are tested more than one time, some weekly just to make sure they keep coming up negative. And, allllllllllll those
tests are rolled into the totals over and over as ICD-10 Covid coded CASES! The media will never tell the public this about the totals...whether
the numbers represent tests, suspected, probable or confirmed. I really do hate the CDC. This isn't the first time they've basically lied
(either by commission or omission) for a certain "agenda".

So his response to every single coronavirus post is... CUOMO!!!!!!!! He has replaced Hillary as the go to for losing arguments. Darth is an ignoramus.

And today's numbers are in, and cases in Florida are once again over 10,000, and the death daily death toll continues to increase every single day. Today, Florida reported 172 deaths, the most it has ever recorded in a single day, surpassing yesterdays record. Sadly, hospitalizations continue to rise in the state as well, meaning the daily death toll is only going to increase from here. And yet DeSantis continues to refuse to issue a mask mandate, and gyms, restaurants and salons remain open. It is insanity. DeSantis is as incompetent as the Dear Leader in the White House. Florida is a mess.
Yep, shift blame to the states. Ignore the fact that Trump basically bullied them into re-opening. And with the exception of Maryland and Ohio, Republican Governors just let themselves be bullied by the President. None of them care about their constituents. All of them will be booted from office when they are next on the ballot.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida announced 173 new resident deaths from COVID-19 on Thursday, the highest number announced for any day since the start of the pandemic.
It doesn’t mean all of the deaths occurred Wednesday but marks the largest number reported at a single time by the state.
Florida’s department of health also reported 10,249 more cases of COVID-19, snapping a string of two straight days with fewer than 10,000 new cases.
The state is now up to 389,868 cases and 5,518 resident deaths associated with the novel coronavirus since the start of the outbreak. At least 114 more nonresidents have died in Florida.
Florida’s previous record for deaths announced in a day was 156 on July 16. The state had announced 134 new deaths Tuesday and 139 on Wednesday, which was then second-most for a day.
