The N95 specification is not speculating. The rising Covid19 cases in areas where masks are mandated is not speculating. The 0.3% infection rate is not speculating. The 0.06% death rate is not speculating. Source: CDC and various State health departments, including Washington State.and doing your own speculating.

Actual engineers, scientists, and mathematicians got us to the Moon. They've sent probes to other planets and their moons. They built the computers that you are using right now. They design and construct safe roads and bridges, and have built the most extensive road system of any nation. They design and construct sewage treatment systems, the most extensive infrastructure of any nation. They cleaned up the air by designing and building EGR systems in cars. They cleaned up the water by designing simpler and cheaper tertiary treatment of sewage. They converted all we knew about nuclear bombs into a source of electric power. They have effectively eradicated real killer diseases like polio, rheumatic fever, and developed effective treatments against typhus, bubonic plague (which KILLED 50% of Europe), cholera, etc. They developed artificial hearts, instruments to perform microsurgery that earlier would've required large incisions. They developed better medical imaging systems, reducing the exposure to X rays and harmful methods of imaging used in the past.I'm sure that will get us very far as a country. Way to do your bit.

See, some people can learn along the way, and have no problem admitting they were wrong - especially when lives & livelihoods are at stake.

Per usual, the cases aren’t categorized and are all glommed together in one big number so it’s hard to know what exactly to make of it, but that’s beside the point.
CA guidelines mandated masks a month ago. And here there are setting a daily record at 11,000 cases [again, the raw numbers don’t tell us anything regarding clinical cases vs positive tests, but bear with me] so what gives?
Do masks work ‘just a bit’? I was under the impression that if we social distanced and masked, that the numbers would come down, we could open the economy up get things rocking again [well, maybe not too early, since the election isn’t till November].
Maybe someone can explain what’s going on in CA. I have my own ideas but they can wait.

Daaaaaaaaaaaang a google search brings years of info on a virus no matter how old or not. How about the NCBI? Maybe vaccines and medicinal treatments
can change, but just the simple protocol on whether a mask is used or not on any respiratory system affected coronavirus. (It's been done before)
