Why do you think the polls assumed Hillary would win in 2016? Reading between the lines, it would seem that a lot of people publicly said they would vote for Hillary while privately voting for Trump.

A similar thing happened when Obama ran the first time. A lot of people said they would vote for McCain but probably privately voted for Obama. The polls still projected a win for Obama, but not by the margin he eventually won by.

The polls did not 'assume' anything. The results of the polling said Hillary would win the popular vote. She did. This had nothing to do with people expressing a different viewpoint publicly. It had to do with a late swing in a couple of states towards Trump. By and large, the polls were correct. I have not seen any Democratic politician making silly nicknames for their political opponents. That's you guys.

The polls also suggested an electoral win. Many of them expected a landslide.

Since this is a debate board we can make fun of ‘progressives’ slander and/or ignore it. But it becomes a totally different issue when the word ‘racist’ can cost you millions of dollars. Then it becomes an insidious form of cultural extortion.

Trump touched on that—the very first president to do it, finally, and it’s part of the reason the Democrat media is circling the wagons and lying about the speech.
 
The polls in 2016 were spot on. After Comey's really stupid press conference, Hillary lost a lot of points. The difference was exactly as predicted. Hillary won the vote by 3 million.
Trump is splitting America part right along the racial fault lines. Why rightys like that, I will not understand. Why they are unable to read the final polls is another mystery. I guess the left has to become enured to righty lies.

Another poor widdle victim. You need to learn the difference between a news reporter and a talking head. Show me an example of a media outlet reporting that a person is a racist. Not that someone else called them a racist, I want to see a media source that makes that accusation. I'll wait. Then it will be my turn.
