The word hasn't lost its meaning, although the meaning has changed due to extremists. Making it an equation of Power + Privilege was just an excuse to make it harder to call minorities racists when their actions fit the original definition.

Now that the word gets thrown around so often, it's become a joke. It's like how the left will call anything they disagree with "white supremacy", or how Antifa calls anyone they disagree with a "fascist."

The difference is that the media and corporations take a lot of liberal slander seriously. If a public figure gets called racist, regardless of how ridiculous the claim is, usually the person must apologize vigorously. Sometimes, that's still not enough to avoid losing money or their job.

Because we've reached that point in this society, a significant portion of the population quietly votes against this woke agenda.
