I'll stop bringing up the 3 studies over the past month that have shown the effectiveness of masks against COVID spread. But I will keep talking about the now basically indisputable evidence that areas & countries that have high mask compliance do very well at keeping the #'s down, and those that don't, don't.

Our attempt to fight Covid-19 is being hampered by some of the dumbest people on Earth, like Teflon here. Is this stupidity just an act, or is Teflon really this stupid? It is hard to tell.

Masks do not hold in CO2. CO2 does trap in heat from sunlight, but skin keeps the sunlight from hitting the air in our lungs, so no overheating. I could go on and on, but it suffices to say nothing Teflon has said has any resemblance to reality.

Worth noting that viruses will not grow in masks. Viruses require living cells to grow. There is a real danger from bacteria and mold in masks.

Anything that impedes airflow into the lungs is going to increase blood CO2 level. Masks included.

Studies show the reverse. If you impede airflow, it causes your lungs to work harder. The lungs overshoot, causing slightly lower CO2. Either way, it is not a significant amount.

Omar has got to stop giving bad medical advice.

But that can change when you start asking people to wear masks doing anything like strenuous work.

They thought that you were right, which is why they tried exercise masks. These exercise masks were supposed to increase CO2 in the blood, and cause Olympic level athletes to train in the equivalent of high altitude. It does not work.

And I cannot think of anything more strenuous than training for the Olympics. Certainly shopping for groceries do not even begin to compare.
