So NPR reported that Trump said the quarantine was mandatory, but you're stretching that to say it was mandated in practice when it clearly wasn't, since there was no enforcement mechanism.

So it wasn't a mandate, and there's no way you can even confirm that all 40,000 of those people adhered to that self-quarantine.

Trump never called it a hoax he said that the Democrat and media's portrayal of his response was a hoax which it is. Testing is going well we have performed more tests than any other country by a wide margin.

Not per capita and China's numbers are fake. We have more deaths and more confirmed infections because A) we count anyone one who died while having coronavirus even if they died of an underlying condition and b) we have performed exponentially more testing than any country on the planet.

We don't know the true per capita because we don't have mass testing.

And if the China numbers are fake, does that mean Trump got rolled by China when he praised Xi an sent them tons of PPE in February?

You are seriously trying to argue that our slow ramp of of testing is a success? How so? It's too late now, the virus has been spread this whole time and people could have picked up the infection between the time they were tested vs. when they get those results.

Appealing to the authority of NPR is funny, particularly when the article doesn't say NPR said it was mandatory, but rather the NPR is reporting Trump saying it's mandatory.

But we both know it wasn't mandatory because there was no enforcement of it. You even said so yourself.
