If the Senate allows a fair trial...

Let’s summarize.

(1) The fanatics that Pelosi has allowed to take over the Democrat Party have failed to remove a sitting president that the American people elected.

(2) They have succeeded in ensuring the re-election of President Trump.

(3)They have failed to perform their duty to help the American people and the American workers.

One out of three isn’t too bad.

One out of three? That looks like three for three to me! :D

It has. Like it has occurred to me that OJ Simpson was telling the truth.

It is so obvious that Zelensky was being extorted, one has to wonder what mental contortions people go through to deny it.

I think he will allow it...and I think the Republican spineless senators will buy into it for the sake of acquitting Trump. Of course, for you, they will acquit him because they think he is a person of sterling character and would never engage in something so sorted.

Right?

I think we agree with what Roberts will do, Darth. And it changes nothing.

Continue to abet this abomination. Obviously you no longer have a choice.

In any case, I now have a better understanding of how people like Hitler take control of the minds and hearts of people.

Too bad that.

YOU are not telling the truth.

He didn't even give a shit if there was an investigation, he just wanted the Ukrainian president to announce one. I don't think McConnell will allow a single witness, he knows they could only bury him deeper. I would like to see a few repub senators vote to see more witnesses although I would bet McConnell will find some bogus reason to not call for that vote if he knows a few of them will.

This!

Not in any way. There are 800 former prosecutors who say that there is more evidence to convict Trump than has been offered in other trials to convict other criminals.

If that is what you think.

You want so much to think that is the reason he was impeached.

Okay...think it.

But that was not the reason.

I raise you your 800 prosecutors to 800 more! Call that bet, sucker!

"There's a lot of. talk about Biden's son,. that Biden stopped the
prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so
whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great.
Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if
you ·can look into it ... It sounds horrible to me."

"if you can look into it "

Certainly NOT a demand. :palm:

Definitely NOT extortion.

The Ukraniian government was already looking into it at the time of the phone call anyway.

Oh, you expected a threat to be made in a phone call being listened in on by dozens of people from both sides?

Oh, my goodness. How does one deal with naivete' of this sort?

I've read the transcript. I just am not naive enough to think that is the way extorters work.

Troubles me that you are.

Paradox. Which is it, dude? First you say the extortion was in the phone call, now you say it wasn't??? WTF?????

Franky, I think you're losing it. You're becoming irrational. You cannot argue both sides of a paradox.

Absolutely part of an extortion attempt.

And to think, Trump was right that people would back him up in his duplicity.

Irrational. You are locked in paradox. You MUST clear your paradox before you can rationally discuss any phone conversation Trump made with the Ukraine.

Joe Biden threatened to withhold a billion dollars, if one prosecutor was not fired. That is extortion and that is a fact.

You have admitted that you can not produce a threat made by President Trump in the phone call. Your excuse is it's because extortion doesn't work that way. Wrong, that is exactly how extortion works. :palm: Just ask Joe! He's an expert at it.

He actually is locked in a paradox here. He has stated:

1) Trump extorted the Ukraine in a phone call.
2) Trump did not extort the Ukraine in a phone call.

Arguing both sides of a paradox like he is doing is irrational.

I defy you to find any post of mine where I said that an obvious threat was made in the phone call.

The extortion attempt is obvious from the preponderance of testimony given thus far. If the Senate does its job and subpoenas witnesses like Bolton and Mulvaney...there will almost certainly be even more.

Irrational. You are still locked in paradox. Which is it, dude?

He's not a man...or at least, not someone who should call himself a man. He is of the male persuasion...that is his gender.

But his is an ignorant, churlish, childish, petulant, classless boor...who dishonors the office of President of the United States by holding the title.

Okay?

Paradox. Which is it, dude?

Respectfully, you would have done much better if you had done what I would have done when shown to be wrong.

I would have acknowledged being wrong...and offered an apology.

That seems to be beyond you.

Why is that?

You offered nothing, liar. You are locked in two paradoxes and are being irrational.

He actually is locked in a paradox here. He has stated:

1) Trump extorted the Ukraine in a phone call.
2) Trump did not extort the Ukraine in a phone call.

Arguing both sides of a paradox like he is doing is irrational.

Thanks, Parrot. That is exactly what Frank is doing.

Abuse of power is a crime if congress says it is.
Define 'abuse of power'. There is no crime if you can't define it.
So is attempting to bribe the Ukranian president with 400 million.
Who did that?
So is attempting to extort a bogus investigation.
You mean like the ones the Democrats have been doing? Is that 'abuse of power'?
So is defying multiple subpoenas.
The House cannot issue subpoenas. Only a court can do that. Queen Nancy does not control the President. She only thinks she does.
Only a trump brownshirt is fucking stupid enough to claim there was no crime here.
No crime. You have not specified any crime. Want to play again?

Hello Celticguy,

If the popular vote is meaningless then why do, time after time, Republicans carry on about what 'the people' wanted? Everybody knows they're only talking about what Republicans wanted. Why do they perpetuate this myth that Republicans are the only real Americans? What BS. That's just xenophobia on parade.

Did you know that people vote for issues and candidates OTHER than who is on the electoral college?

Myopia.

It's incredible that the right is fucking stupid enough to think Zelensky would say he was being pressured as long as trump holds the purse strings in the US. It's mindboggling they could be that ignorant, I simply don't believe it. The day will come when trump is not holding those strings and Zelensky will freely admit he knew damn well he was going to either announce a bogus investigation or not get funding. That is until the cat was out of the bag that trump was obviously bribing them so he released it the next day.

Stretching your argument a bit far, don't you think?

You are probably correct however it will be that much more obvious to the country that trump is guilty and the only reason he is not being removed is because republican senators don't give a shit about guilt or innocence but only their party and paycheck.

There is a chance maybe enough repub senators will not show up for the vote so they don't have to live with the stain of voting to acquit. They know damn well he is guilty and that one day that will be proven beyond any shadow of doubt. Hell, once acquitted trump is fucking stupid enough to come out and say as much himself.

It takes 2/3rd's vote of those seated and voting that day, not necessarily 2/3rd's of the entire senate.

Guilty of what? What is the crime?
