Even presidents are considered innocent until proven guilty.

President Trump will be exonerated in the Senate and the attempt to remove a sitting president that the American people elected will have failed.

And retribution will occur in 2020.

In fiction, Clavell's Shogun; almost any decent science fiction book; any of Ken Follett's more serious books...and any of Caleb Carr's books, but especially The Alienist. (Clavell's Brother Rat has implications for today.)

Just read "The Silent Patient" a first effort by Alex Michaelides. Damned good first effort.


I read lots of non-fiction.

Is there a thread where we can discuss books...and get a few recommendations?

I can' t believe you said Shogun. I read that right before I read Shibumi, and almost gave that as my recommendation, but decided it was too well known. I could not put that book down. I ended up reading all 1300 pages (paperback) in one day.

I luv scifi. The Alienist, eh? I may have to check it out.

There are other JPP forums for non-current event topics. But personally, I rarely view them.
