Nothing worth having is free. That applies to everything in life.

Stop pretending to know what my coverage entails, you don't. My deductible and out of pocket are very reasonable. Again, insurance isn't designed for "free" maintenance care, it's to prevent financial devastation.

Your car insurance doesn't pay for a battery or gasoline, you do. Same concept. HMOs were the clusterfuck which instilled this insane mindset of "free" care and $10 office visits. Ignorance on steroids.

People don't go bankrupt over medical bills, they go bankrupt because they can't manage $$. Just because some who filed bankruptcy had medical bills does not mean it was the cause of the bankruptcy, it never is....

I don't know a single person who ever thought or believed HMO's are free. You still have to pay premiums, copays, etc. for HMO's. And you still have to pay drug costs. And you still have to pay for hospital stays, ambulance rides, and the HMO's don't (usually) include dental or vision.
