It doesn't 'advantage' anyone. It just means that the Democrats of today can't win solely with the electoral votes from California and New York. They need to win over electors from a few other states too... you know... the states which they routinely ignore ("flyover country")...

Presidents are NOT selected by popular vote, Nordberg. They are selected by electors. The majority of electors voted for Donald Trump, so he became President. That's how Presidential elections work, Nordberg...
It's a good system. It gives each state a voice, instead of only the most populous states. It also divides up how federal representatives are selected (instead of solely by popular vote for everybody).

No it doesn't, it left it up to the States to decide how the electoral vote in their State was to be decided, no where in the Constitution does it specified a "winner take all" approach, in fact, several States are moving away from this model
The Founding Fathers never intended the Constitution to be a dead document otherwise they wouldn't have included an Amendment process
