The elites in Parliament have done nothing about this since setting up the first Brexit vote. That's simply a fact. They've talked and postured, but they've not passed any legislation either to set up the terms for Brexit, or to reverse that error. As an objective matter, that means they've left the country on the course to a disastrous exit. Is that their intention? I suppose we can never truly know the mind of another person, but, again, objectively, exiting the EU is the known expected result of what they're doing... or rather what they're failing to do. Why do they want that result? Your guess is as good as mine. For whatever reason, they perceive this as the best course for themselves.

We can only infer their intentions from their actions. In June 2018 Parliament enacted The European Union (Withdrawal) Act to enable repeal of the European Communities Act 1972 (which brought the UK into the EEC). 'Exit day' was specified in an amendment as March 29, 2019.

Otoh they may have been kidding.

This is the same woman that refused to appear with Corbyn during the 2017 election, yet is now willing to sit down with the evil bastard. She will never be forgiven for her treachery. Her worst mistake was agreeing to the Withdrawal Agreement before discussing a trade deal. She sacked all her experts and and relied on scumbag civil servants like Oliver Robbins.
 
The tory party was never for anything but for thieves and thugs to get power. Faced with a real decision it split up into gangs of rival shits making different bets on what would help them forward. The shambling sods are now done for, and they and the careerist wing of the Labour Party have never given a two-penny for the Country, any more than have posturing clowns like HM. If we survive, they are done for. The rich will go where their money is, and the mugs will turn fascist and be smashed.
