The polls clearly show that a plurality of people in London and Scotland want to remain. In every other region of the UK, by a sizeable margin, people would prefer a no-deal exit.

BUT the Establishment will not tolerate that. Only yesterday the House of Commons passed a motion requiring that further "extensions" must be sought from the EU - anything rather than leave on April 12 with no deal.

The polls show that a plurality of the people in the country want to remain. You can slice and dice that if you want -- e.g., pointing out what the plurality of each geographic or racial or religious group thinks, to try to spin that fact (e.g., pointing out that only the plurality of whites wants to leave while the plurality of other races want to stay). But when you set aside the spin and just look at overall opinion within the country, it favors staying.... yet the politicians won't allow a second Brexit vote. The establishment is fixated on locking in this error, rather than letting the people swerve.

The only thing the "elites" would need to do if they really wanted to force an exit would be NOTHING.

The default legal position at the moment is that the UK will leave the EU on April 12, deal or no deal. The desperate maneuverings that have been going on for the past couple of weeks are precisely to STOP that. It has already been postponed once, and the "elites" want to do it again, as often as necessary. How blatant do they have to be?

That's precisely what they've been doing. They've been sitting around with their thumb's up their asses. All they'd need to do to stop this absurdity is have a second referendum, to give the people a chance to make the majority's pro-remain views known. Instead, they've been kicking the can down the road, so that eventually an exit happens but they can try to blame the inevitably catastrophic results on the EU for not letting them kick the can indefinitely.
